MINILUX zoom: minimale Gebrauchsspuren! Verpackt in einem "Leica Beutel"!
  2. Hello, I am interested if anybody else has experienced the problem, that the scroll wheel of the D2 or LC1 (in my case) behaves unpredictable / jumpy. When you are zoomed into images in the Play-Mode it is impossible to tell if the camera will zoom in or out, no matter how much you turn the wheel, or in which direction. I would be also happy to hear what could cause such a problem - dirt, broken microswitch, ... Thanks a lot for your experiences.

    Digilux 2

  4. I think it's time to grant the Digilux 2 its own board on the Digital Forum. The X1 and S2 aren't even available to users yet they've been granted prominent space for several months... and both cameras are still several months away from availability. But this is not the main reason there should be a Digilux 2 board. There are users on this board that regardless of what other camera they shoot, they all continue to come back to the Digilux 2. In its own unique way, the Digilux 2 carries the banner as Leica's FIRST true serious entry into the digital market. And unlike all the early Canon, Nikon, Sony et al. early starters, the Digilux 2 continues to be serviceable and put to use... with stunning results, I might add. Digilux 2 users number into the thousands. The camera has been part of the Leica family for over 5 years. It has earned its right as part of the Leica heritage and legacy. It's unique "philosophy" is unrivaled in the compact camera class and unlike Leica's other foray's into the point n' shoot market space, the Digilux 2 without question produces remarkable images worthy of the Leica name. For what it's worth, the "Do Digilux 2 photos have distinctive look? " thread is now 27 pages long. It has over 500 posts AND more importantly, has been viewed over 43,000 times. 43 THOUSAND. Started in March of 2007, it has become a board unto itself. Threads continue to get started and new owners appear all the time. And... this is the most important part... these owners and their Leica Digilux 2(s) continue to produce stunning LEICA images and praise the LEICA brand. Certainly, having a board doesn't increase bandwidth usage or a depletion of resources. It's just a board. The posts are already here. Organizing them and giving users a place to discuss the camera won't cost anyone anything. And it will help NEW users find their way to the information (good information) from actual Digilux users. Five year's on... thousands of owners, millions of Leica images... it's time. The Digilux 2... or even Digilux "family" deserves a forum board. Add your vote to this thread... and tell other's you know.
  5. The Leica D 14-50mm kit lens that came with my Digilux 3 has just died. The zoom ring is stuck and will not turn past 21mm, and from some searching online this seems to be a common problem. However, the lens is now out of warranty, so I need to get it repaired affordably. Does anyone know a shop/person who could do this repair? From anecdotal evidence, it seems that Solms will be too expensive to be worth it. Thanks so much!! -mark
