Hi everybody I am exhausted a year and a half ago, i buy my first digital leica, and some lenses, few thousands euros of new equipement after a year, i had to send it to germany cause the letther was going out, it took me 7 weeks to get the camera back... i got it back a month and a half ago, and since some time, I notice a raw of red pixels on every single pictures I shoot, it appears mainly when I shot under, but it's always here I speak with Leica by mail they want me to send back the camera, but I know it will take few weeks, I live in Israel, and these days I have to use professionaly this special camera for assignements Does someone know any software that could help me to fix shooted pictures automaticaly ? thanks for your precious help noam

My M8 shutter just died after just 17,000 actuations (compared to my old nikon D80 with 150,000), sent the camera to germany (cost 100 Euro there and back), got a reply from leica after 3 weeks saying it will cost me about 1,000 Euros to repair. Does this sound right to anyone ? Did anyone experience this and got the same cost ? What did you do when it did ? Thanks everyone

After a serious hike up Volcan Madera in Isla Ometepe, Nicaragua, I am fairly certain my M battery has given up the ghost. It doesn't turn on the camera anymore and stays in 'low charge' mode on the charger forever, occasionally giving the green and orange LED 'blinking' error when trying to charge. Perhaps some water got into it, or it is simply its time to go. Sadly, I don't have any way to get a new Leica M battery easily in Central America. Does anyone know if there's a possible fix? I've kept it in a bag of rice just in case some of the more moist tropical air was the culprit, but that doesn't seem to have fixed it. Long shot, I know, but I'd love to continue shooting down here.
