  1. Is there a way to take 5-6 shots per second with the D-Lux4?
  2. Hi, This may sound like a silly question.. I have been using a D-LUX4 for a few months and on the weekend was the first time i really looked through a lot of the photo's on my PC. When i take the picture and view it on the camera display, the colours are vibrant and bright however when i view it on my display at home they are significantly muted, reds are peachy, dark wood on a cabinet for example shows up light and with little detail, sky shots are a ligher blue rather than the rich blue on the photo. Is there something that can be altered on the camera or would it perhaps be an issue with my display? Bearing in mind i am using a Toshiba laptop which is 4 years old to view the images. I would really appreciate your input!
  3. I have spent the past hour trying to tether my D-Lux4 to a MacBook with Aperture V3.0.1, with no success. Although I have followed the instructions in the Aperture help section, I keep getting a 'No camera detected' message. In the menu on the D-Lux4 I have selected USB, and then tried both PTP and PC but neither seems to do the trick. As usual the instruction manual has been of no assistance - it doesn't mention tethering at all, from what I can see... anyone managed to do this successfully?
  4. I am retired and at my winter home in Hilton Head Island SC. My favorite college classmate ask me to shoot his grand daughters wedding. I don't do weddings. (Well only 2). So what do I do? I only have my pocket camera with me. A D-lux4. Ok, I have given so many seminars saying the equipment is not what makes the art! The pictures I took with my D-Lux4 were as good I have ever taken. What a great little camera. My reputation (what ever that is) has been saved. Will it replace my M8? Don't even think it! The lens on the D-lux with its speed is very good. I still do one shoot or two for my oldest client. (P&G). I might try a few pix with the 4 for fun.

Someone did a good job in converting the standard men-at-work sign :-) cheers: Sam
  6. I don't know if someone has posted this info before, but I figured I should confirm... I bought the Panasonic DMW-HDC2 HD Component Cable yesterday for $35 and it works fine on my D-LUX4, and saves a bunch over the Leica CV1 Component Video Cable, selling at Adorama for $89.95.
