  1. My apologies to all. I need to use cornerfix and the download is not working for me. Can anyone point me to a download solution? Many thanks, Bill
  2. For those planning to be on the bleeding edge and upgrade to OS X 10.7 Lion, please be aware that there is a new version of CornerFix, version 1.4.2.0, available. Earlier versions may crash with Lion. You can update now - the new version is compatible with all version of OS X from 10.4 onwards. There are also two other upgrades (which apply to the Windows version as well): Fix for an issue that could result in Lightroom displaying an out-of-date thumbnail if the image had been loaded into Lightroom before processing with CornerFix. Lens detection for the new Leica lenses. You can download from the usual place: CornerFix | Download CornerFix software for free at SourceForge.net Enjoy. Sandy
  3. Adobe have release two new plugins: Plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Adobe Labs One is a flat field plugin that does, according to documents, approximately what CornerFix does, so it may be of interest to those currently using CornerFix. Note, I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know how well it works or doesn't. Sandy
  5. Within Lightroom 4 there is a decent selection of lens profiles for the Leica M (as well as the S), but when attempting to download more in the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader not a single lens is shown when selecting "Leica" from the "Camera Make" column. I would think that at least the existing profiles would be there, but nothing! I am looking for a solution to correct for the color cast of the Cosina-Voigtländer 15mm and 21mm M lenses on the Leica M9. I bought the Super-Elmar M 18mm as a compromise, but I decided to go with the Leica 21mm and ditch the rest. In the meantime, I still need to correct the images I have made with the CV 15mm and 21mm. Does Lightroom 4 have the ability to correct these color casts like Cornerfix, or am I barking up the wrong tree? If not, where can I download Cornerfix profiles? Must I make my own?
  6. CornerFix is really helpfull to correct M9 DNGs; using the included CV12 files was really convincing. Did anyone find a collection with different profiles for the M9 (my trials doing it by myself have been less than outstanding, i am lazy too...) ? I was also less than successfull finding profiles in this forum (only ZM 2,8/35) I am looking especially for for profiles for the M9, Zeiss ZM 4/18 and the Leica 2,8/28 ASPH... :Axel
  7. Habe eine Frage an das Forum: Gibt es eine "CornerFIX"-Funktion in Photoshop? Vielen Dank für die Unterstützung Jockele
  8. Just a FYI. CornerFix is now M9 compatible. CornerFix | Get CornerFix at SourceForge.net
  9. V1.1.0.1 has a number of bug fixes and enhancements including: 1. a fix for a potential crash with a "Bad parameter" or "Security" exception under Windows, 2. a fix for a situation on OS X where output to the logging window might not occur immediately, and 3. enhanced color management for preview images under Windows. I recommend that that anyone running V1.1.0.0 under Windows upgrade to the new version. Get it here: CornerFix | Get CornerFix at SourceForge.net Sandy
  10. CornerFix V1.1.0.0 is now available for download. Changes are: 1. Added MakerNote decoding for Elmar-M 18mm f/3.8 ASPH 2. CornerFix is now Windows 7 compatible. Those that tried the previous version will know that while it "worked", there were no images displayed. After a substantial amount of change under the hood, V1.1.0.0 is now 100% Windows 7 compatible. Downloads are in the usual place: SourceForge.net: CornerFix - just hit the big green button, and select the appropriate package/release. Sandy
  11. I have taken a few pictures in DNG using CV15. There are cyan corners so I used CF to fix them, resulting in XXXX_CF.DNG files. They look fine after the Fix. When I try to open these _CF.DNG files in C1 for further processing, I got a "An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket" error message. C1 closes and there is the usual box asking me to send an error report to Uncle Bill. It did not happen when I was processing regular .DNG files but C1 crashed several times and each time I was trying to work on a _CF.DNG file. Has anyone experience something like this? I don't even know if this is pure co-incidence or if there is actually something between C1 and CF. I am running XP home SP3, C1 v.4.8.1, CF 1.1.0.0 with the C1 v4 compatibility enabled. PhaseOne support told me to run a cleaning utility, repair Microsoft dotnet 2.0, uninstall and reinstall C1. Which I all did but the same thing is coming back right after all that. Any help is much appreciated.
  12. "Devignetting application for DNG images; originally written for Leica cameras, CornerFix now works with most cameras including Sony NEX and Sigma DP series. CornerFix fixes the "cyan corners" and/or "red edges" problem when using wide angle lenses " ==> http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-post-processing-forum/145947-new-version-cornerfix.html#post1484271 oder direkt zum download Browse CornerFix Files on SourceForge.net Neue Homepage cornerfix
  13. There's a new version of CornerFix out, V1.4.0.0. The new release extends CornerFix beyond M8s, M9s and S2s to allow images from just about any camera to be corrected - e.g., Sony NEX, Sigma DP series, etc. While previously CornerFix checked against specific camera types, the new version of CornerFix actually looks at the characteristics of the DNG file itself. It will now work with very nearly any DNG file, regardless of whether the file came directly from a camera, or by being converted from another raw format with Adobe's DNG Converter. The only restrictions are that the DNG has to have either Bayer sensor or "Linear raw", aka RGB, data in it. Which covers about 99.9% all cameras out there, btw. So, all you have to do to use CornerFix with a Nikon, Canon or whatever is to convert your raw image to DNG, then use CornerFix as usual. At the same time, CornerFix also has a new website: CornerFix Downloads are still from the usual place: Browse CornerFix Files on SourceForge.net Note that the new release has no new functionality for Leica users. Enjoy, Sandy
