A quick question: performing "save profile to card" will save all camera user profiles on the card or just the one i use? Thank you for help.

What newer cards are reliable ? I lost 1/2 a shoot for the 3rd time this year. I am getting a bit paranoid because Lexar image rescue5 could not recover any of the files even after several attempts. While shooting I always randomly check on the LCD but then there is nothing on the card - how is that even possible ?

Ok, so it's Christmas Day and we are taking some photos using our faithful travel companion Leica M9. My partner notices that the frame lines in the view finder are larger than normal for the 50mm f2 lens and this is due to the lens not being fully twisted into place and setting the correct frame lines. No issue, I removed the lens and reattached it, frame lines re-appear in the correct place and all is back to normal, or so we thought. Straight away the optical viewfinder said "FULL" and on the LCD display it quoted "Attention SD Card Locked". We have been using Sandisk Ultra cards for over a year with no issues. The card is not in the locked position! We have restarted, replaced the battery with another full battery, left the battery out of the camera for 30 minutes, put our other Sandisk memory cards in as well as other branded ones, we have reset the camera and updated to the latest firmware, formatted the card on the Mac using FAT32, used an air blower to try and remove any dust etc from the card slot, last ditch I have swapped lenses... but it still says "Attention SD Card Locked" when the camera is turned on and the shutter is pressed. If you view the images from a card on the camera they appear fine but with the locked symbol in the upper left part of the screen. We have not set this. When viewing the images you can scroll through and if you try to use the Set Button to revoke the locked attribute it says "Attention SD Card Locked". The camera still takes photos to the Buffer when there is no SD card installed, but you obviously loose them when the camera is off. I have read through some threads in this forum on a similar issue but nothing has been of any help yet. So this is all a bit of a crappy situation. Traveling in New Zealand and Australia with an unresponsive Leica after just over 14 months good work, is very disappointing. Any help would be greatly received. Cheers.

Dear Leica users, I am using new M9 for less than a week and at least three times files on the camera were stored with bugs... Real pictures are below. Could it be a problem with camera? Or there is something wrong with the card? Thank you.

Just wanted to share a strange experience. Somehow the corner of an SD card broke off inside my M9. I sat down to download the day's images. My card reader would not read read the card unless I kept pressure on the card at just the right angle. When I tried to insert another card into the M9, it would not got into the slot completely. I guessed that something was inside the slot and, upon inspecting the card, finally realized that it had broken. I was finally able to use a paperclip to fish the broken bit out of the M9. But it was tricky to find the sliver of black plastic wedged deep in that narrow slot. Still baffled as to how the card was broken, unless it was somehow defective from day one. But I guess that's unknowable. bill
