The Blue Hour was promising after a couple of days with cotinuous rain and gry depressing sky. A few nice bylanes with historic buildings we have and at this hour nobody was there and I enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. 2.0 - 1/50- ISO 800 Leica Q

On monday when coming home from my work the sky changed into a promising foreboding glow. I grabbed my stuff in haste, snatched a sturdy tripod, snatched my raincovers and when I sat in the car it started raining. As I reached my location it seemed as if the major downpour happened somewhere else. In front of my eyes there unfolded a spectacular light and cloud formstion. I could not run for a better vantage point because light changed very quickly. Canon 5 D MKII with R Elmarit 28 mm and Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron. The colors were as such, processed from RAW the files only underwent a small correction in contrast and came out of the camera in these incredible colors. I used a GND filter for the Elmarit which gave me about 3 f-stops freedom for exposure. EM 5, Nocticron, 4 pictures pano

Our botanical garden is a constant source of photogenic subjects. This little flower is so rare and under strict protection. Look at its color shade. for getting this I had to block visitors out from passing. Interested people asking. mild temperatures brought forward all blosoms and all greenery forward and everything is 4 weeks earl this year. So to explore the countryside and forests is pleasant. Difficult light for exposures is most tricky because of the bright sky and much stray light. Therefore I used a combination of filters. exploring a small local creek we were attracted of the variety of water state: frozen,falling,flowing, Light was light blue in the shadows reflecting the blue from the sky. Since I decided to leave my R Elmarit 90 mm mounted on MKII plus Leica Apo 2x converter for this distance and so the lens told were to search for motives.

this is one of those pictures when a hazy sun showed up for an hour and then vanish to leave everything grey. I gave sky and land a different treatment of contrast in PSE to exploit what the sensor captured to its limits. it was early enough in the morning to search for one of this species sitting deep down in the grass. I knew from one of my earlier inspections that I would find them here. Yet it was a challenge for this my first attempt. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 60 mm macro+2xconverter,flash mounted on a tripod and handheld reflector. The camera was dismounted from the tripod in favour of being free to kneel and with the reflector under my ellbow I tried to approach very carefully. It was rather dark deep down in the grass, so to bring in thee some light was neccessary. Next time I know better how to manage.
