  1. Leica R8 with Elmarit R 80 mm on Kodak film
  2. here are juxtapositions. I was fascinated by the silky texture of the petals and the charming blossoms. All with Olympus OMD EM 5 + Nocticron
  3. Summer is back for a few days and it is a pleasure to visit our local Botanical Garden as an afterwork "rehabilitation". Sun is low now and when I reach there no backlighting any more. Tripod, reflector, torch and almost no breeze. I wanted to use a free bounced flash with remote releas ( but battery was gone ) The glowing red is a challenge any time. Canon 5D MKII with R Elmarit 90 mm + R Elmarit 60 mm macro R 60 mm macro
  4. our gardens has also something to offer these days. And if trying out a new combo there is some advantage if you do not need to haul everything along. Here I tried my Olympus OMD EM5 with the R Elmarit 60 mm macro + APO 2x converter. No tripod, windy weather and lots of bad focussed pictures. I had to grapple with a rather shallow DOF but the Elmarit is a pleasure to handle.
  5. this was also from that rainy day in our Botanical Garden. It look a bit like poppy. Focussing was very tricky because this blossom was swaying like anything permanently in a breeze of wind. Olympus OMD EM5 with Elmarit R 60 mm macro
  6. Finally summer is back but with a sort of strange mix of warm temperatures, overcast sky and a small thunderstorm always menacing. Our garden is my daily refuge to exercise for relaxation. Canon 5D MKII with Summicron R 50 mm +Elpro Achromat lens
  7. on one of those rainy days of the past weeks we went to a village where people have most attractive gardens in front of their houses. Since it was rainy I could not mount the camera on a tripod while strolling through the village. The Elmarit R 60 mm macro was mounted on the Canon 5DMKII protected by an umbrella. Altogether 400 ISO and an aperture of 4f and 160 shutterspeed, handheld. If somebody will be feeling of stopping by, I'll be glad.
  8. these days it is snowing almost continuously. But then, preparing everthing for a wet adventure one can discover little surprises full of hope. Inspite of coldness and snow there is a big bush full of blossoms in our neighbourhood. These shots were being done as usual with my Canon 5DMKII mounted with Elmarit Macro 60 mm + APO Converter 2x
  9. this is a further sample from my new illumination project. On sunday it was warm but overcast and at 7 p.m there was already a touch of dusk settling in. o a grey and dull atmosphere. And this light was being mixed with the flash. Canon 5D MKII + Elmarit R 60 mm macro+handheld flash bounced against a reflector from almost below the blossom.
  10. Botanical Garden is a permanent source for new impressions and playground to try out lenses. Olympus EM5 with DG Nocticron 42.5 Asph.1.2
  11. after a refreshing rainshower I inspected the garden where I was on a visit for a few days. Taken with Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit 90 mm plus extension tube Thanks for viewing and taking time.
