Sunday afternoon with a sudden snowfall is something very rare these days. Either you take your chance immediately or you will miss it because it is menat to be gone very soon.

We are suffering here from very dull and depressive weather but for a short period of brighter moments. Therefore it is not advisable to plan trips by car. The best I can do is running down to the city, catch the next tram and stroll checking the best corners. The great high ISO performance of the Q and its fantastic sensor did support freehand shots very well. Although I carried a tripod I did not mount the camera then.

this pano was not being planned, so I only had a monopod with my MKII and R Summicron 50 mm. Stitching function of PSE was used. Weather is permanently changing now with dramatic sky and sun coming out or hidden. o shoot or gone, only one chance. My hometown is being situated in the hilly region of the Teutoburger Forest region.

These are from the only stroll to the city of Bielefeld, my hometown, during snowfall. I picked up my stuff, the Canon 5DMKII with Elmarit 35 mm and all wrapped in plastic bag. these are old trees on the road leading to the city on the line of the ancient defense wall of the middle ages one of the two old churches, this is dedicated to St. Mary. Here I would like to know how to avoid the shadows from people passing by. The shutter was open for a few secs but I am afraid to short for the ghost. I could have stopped down even further. this is a park belonging to the Art Museum adjacent to the old city center. Have a look and enjoy even if it is not an expected winter adventure.

falling snow inspired me for a stroll to the city. The MKII wrapped in plastic foil and the Elmarit 35mm was mounted for the walk. The picture is showing the view to the landmark of Bielefeld, an old fort of the middle ages in the background. The sculpture in front of Henry Moore belongs to the park of the Art-Museum. Since it was very dark I used an LED lenser for additional light. Thanks for having a look.
