These are very tranquil mild october days here. The sun, if it comes out is already very low. It then spreads a warm golden light. Wen I go to work I cross a little park and took my X1 to get the last glowing colors before they will be torn be one of those storms later on. X1 in the morning in a slightly humid air

It is winter but we miss the real feeling because we don't have much snow here. As soon as a single snowflake is showing itself I start watching and if ther is a thin layer I start off for a short visit to my favourite locations (if it is a weekend and I can reach ther in daylight) In this case it was very late and light was fading. Climbing with tripod and camera being already mounted I could not roam because time ran out. all with Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit R 90 mm

the last day of the year 2014 was droop, grey and misty. At 2 p.m. it was almost dark and I was only accompanied by the sound of the trees, the slight breeze and birds fluttering here and there: strange and lonesome. Olympus EM5 with Summilux 15 mm and Nocticron 43 mm

just for an evening walk we need 5 minutes to reach the forest. This arch of hanging beech branches is in a park landscape. Taken a few days back in May with Olympus OMD EM5 + Summicron R 50 mm

there was a weekend when we had a nice pale late sunshine in the beechforest here. This big mushroom was on a fallen treetrunk. I tried to get a different perspective from the normal sight when they are like little rooves in a vertical position. People developed the skill to make fire with the help of these mushrooms. The material feels hard like wood. To get the details and shade right is not easy. In this case the R macro Elmarit was on my Olympus EM 5

this is such a mild winter that one can go to the forest and take pictures of mushrooms even. This colony was settled on a fallen huge beech tree trunk. There were many of these tiny little mini mushrooms with their little furry bodies crouched and huddled together. Olympus OMD EM5 with Elmarit R 60 mm macro.

Last weekend there was much fog and the right weather to get some impressions of the strange forrest atmosphere. I am afraid the scaled down size is not showing as much details a it should but you can have a look. all with Canon 5D MKii and Elmarit R 60mm + APO Converter 2x

these are the first winter days in this region and searching for a scenery of light snow and mist I kept roaming for a while and further up the hills a quiet deserted scenery was unfolding. Light was already fading a bit and a light drizzling started. Canon 5D MKII and my favourite R-Elmarit 60mm lens was mounted. Exposure with my favourite aperture 5.6 for these low light cases and 1/15 sec ISO 200 + polarizer.

These days there are still leaves on the beech trees and the light can give a moment of magic. One has to be quick because the magic vanishes soon. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit 60 mm macro + polarisation filter [ATTACH]347446[/ATTACH] I am afraid the macro lost very much while scaling it down for the forum size. Nevertheless one can have a glimpse of the impression of the original. I used the 2xApo converter, and stacked 2 versions of different shutterspeed. [ATTACH]347448[/ATTACH]

the first cold mornings when a slight night frost has settled is inviting for an inspection tour. When roaming through the quiet morning beech tree forest oen could only hear a slight breeze and the sound of falling leaves. How to frame this? A few sunrays fell on the beech tree and I waited for a light gush of wind. High ISO was nececssary to get the leaves sharp with a shutterspeed of 1/250. An experiment of of several shots was neccessary, but time for this was limited because of fading light. Thanks for looking

there is no river here and no waterfall but small creeks and ponds we can find in this region. So, in spite of lack of rainfall we did try to find at least something. We could climb into the creek and installed our tripods there in order to find some trainig stuff for our eyes and lenses. In this case the 90mm Elmarit R-lens was mounted on my Canon 5D MKII Follow me, please and you don't need a protectional foil for your lens.
