Kia Ora, Being a complete noob to the Leica ecosystem (Leica SL coming soon) I'm doing some research and getting to know the terminology and possibilities etc. I wanted to know if there are any recommendations around adapters for the following please: Nikon MF to Leica SL (L Mount?) Nikon AF to ditto Canon AF to ditto Sony AF to ditto Sony MF to ditto I'm leaving the Sony system and have some adapted Canon glass (via Sigma MC11), as well as native mount lenses both AF and MF (Voigtlander), as well as a Nikon mount Voigtlander. Just wondered what my options were, along with perhaps getting a Leica M mount adapter for it. Appreciate any advise etc. p.s. I did do some searching in here, but there were so many threads and some of them very long, plus recent issues ala Novoflex etc. cheers

CW Sonderoptics now ships the Leica M to PL Mount adaptor. I updated my article on the Cine lenses with it. http://www.overgaard.dk/Leica-Cine-Movie-Primes-Summicron-Summilux-Lenses.html Enjoy!

I am looking for a Nikon F/G mount adaptor to L mount. There are a lot of $20-30. Models and $125 up models on the market, but very few reviews I left Nikon for Leica because the newer lenses seem to be not as sharp as they were years ago. However, i do have some amazing lenses from a few years ago that i kept when i sold not D5’s. Does anyone have any recommendations for a really good quality adaptor ?

Hi all, I've been having a problem with my M240 where when attaching any lens using a Voigtlander Leica screw mount to M mount adaptor, the lens is not recognised as being connected, and as such, I cannot use Live View, EVF or video functions. It shoots photos just fine. I've attached my Voigtlander 12mm, shot a number of frames, however video does not work. The camera has an error that reports 'No lens attached' or similar and refuses to go into Live View mode. I contacted Leica, and they told me to set Lens Detection to OFF and try again. Same problem. At this point they told me to send it in for repair. Seeing as I've only had it a very short time, and, being in Australia, this is a pain (and a great expense) whichever way I try to do it (either sending to the authorised repairer in Melbourne or sending straight to Solms) I'm somewhat reticent to do so. Obviously I may end up having to do this, but I thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone had any similar experiences or possible solutions? My only thought is that my adaptor is quite old, and perhaps a newer one (a coded one?) may have a different design and work better in this situation. Has anyone else by any chance experienced this issue?

I need to plumb considerable depths and wealth of the combined forum's knowledge to help me with a lens problem and I wonder if anyone can kindly help me please? I have a 60 mm f/2.8 Macro-Elmarit-R #3566xxx E55 with R cam only (no cams 1 or 2) and I have just acquired a 2-cam Macro Adaptor (14256) but I can't get the lens to mount on the adaptor. The lens will sit properly in the adaptor but no amount of gentle persuasion will convince the lens to turn and engage mounts. I've tried both the adaptor wide open and closed and vice versa but it makes no difference. I also have a 2 cam 90/2.8 Elmarit that will mount on the adaptor without a problem, the adaptor successfully operates the lens's diaphragm and the adaptor fits onto my R9 without a problem, as does my 60/2.8 Macro Elmarit. Have I got the wrong version of 14256 adaptor, and if so, how would I know because there are no markings on it other than "Leitz Wetzlar Germany"? If I have foolishly managed to acquire the wrong 14256 version, which version should I look for? Testing your good grace with a second, associated question, I've checked Puts's Leica Lens Compendium and the 7th edition Leica Pocket Book but I haven't been able to determine which of the 4 versions of the 60 mm f/2.8 Macro-Elmarit-R lens I have. Can anyone help with this please? Many thanks, Pete.
