  1. Have any of you tried to correct problems focusing sticking pad or something on the lens? Can you advise something? My Voigtlander 40 / 1.4, has backfocus. Until now, I did correction manually (shift) ... By the way - as previous owner cleaned matrix vacuum cleaner 1500W home, or it could result in some shifts the sensor? Or rather on the matrix will not be affected?
  2. Does anyone have experience using ND filters or variable ND filters on their M240, with Voigtländer lenses? Specifically I would like to be able to use a 58 mm filter ( to fit the Heliar 15 v.iii ) and a 49 and 52 mm step up ring with the 58 mm filter for use with the Nokton 50 1.5 and Nokton 35 1.2. Does anyone know if this will work with the stock hoods, or can I not use the hoods? Will the filter fit within the hoods? Trying to not have to buy 3 different size filters. The hood on the 15mm is non removable, but very small. Thanks, Brent PS looking at the Hoya and B+W specifically. The B+W seems quite deep in the variable version, and they're specifying a different front filter thread diameter than the filter size ie 58mm rear threads, 62mm front.
  3. "Badwater, IV" from Death Valley, USA. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm v. III. Thanks for viewing, best Vieri
  4. Hello all, Just want to introduce myself - I am doing photography since 1985. As the headline states, I grew up in Germany but live for professional reasons not related to photography since 2005 permanently in the US. I just recently acquired my first Leica camera - the Leica M6 since I always wanted to have a fully mechanic reliable camera including a light meter. I want to do B&W film photography with this camera since I still develop my own film and use my darkroom to make silver gelatin prints both from digital files (using homemade digital negatives) and from film negatives. My style is predominantly landscape and fine art photography combined with B&W converted infrared photography. This said, I am also using digital cameras in parallel to film cameras. For infrared, I am currently using a converted Canon 5D MkII full frame DSLR with 715 nm cutoff filter, for digital landscape/macro/fine art work I am using a Sony A7R - predominantly with Leica and Voigtlander lenses plus adapter. I am not fixed to just one brand regarding photo gear and simply use what I consider best for my needs. I am looking forward to share photos and experience regarding Leica cameras and M mount lenses. Martin

Price brass silver 135,000 yen ($1,088), aluminum black 115,000 yen ($927). Lens configuration 7 group nine, including one aspherical surface. 10 sheets aperture blades. A minimum focusing distance of 0.5m. Filter diameter of 46mm. Maximum diameter × overall length is 53 × 50.9mm. Weight Silver is 330g, black 238g. Anyone else interested in the new Ultron? Personally I am seriously considering it, as it seems to be a perfect balance between a fast f/stop and relatively small size and weight (black version: 238 g). Even though the Nokton 35 1.2 is a fantastic performer I was always turned off by it's size. Right now I have the Summarit 35mm f/2.5, but there are moments when I do wish it would be a little brighter. Sadly 35LUX FLE is out of my price range for the time beeing.
  7. Elgol, on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, is an enchanting location offering many inspiring corners and possibilities. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm v. III, Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  8. Probably the most famous landmark on Dorset's Coast, Durdle Door is definitely impressive and a real sight to behold. Here I shot it at sunset, but it's beautiful at sunrise as well. With the Leica SL and the spectacularly wide Voigtlander 10mm Hyper Wide Heliar with Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters used through the extremely useful Bombo adapter. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri
  9. Has anyone tried using the relatively new Voigtlander 15mm VM III Super Wide Helliar on the M240? What can you say about it?
  10. The spectacular double cave and arch at Playa de Campiecho, in the Asturias (Spain), here with both openings shown in full in the amazing sunset light. I had to stand in the cold sea water for quite a while, but it was definitely worth it! Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri

  16. A little less than a year ago, I bought the CV 15mm Heliar III. I did not bother to purchased the CV 15mm Viewfinder., its a bit expensive in my opinion and I already have an Olympus EVF for my M240. However, I rarely use the CV 15mm Heliar III, mainly because I hate using the EVF. Do you guys think its worth it to purchased the 15mm Viewfinder?
  17. Still in love with my M3 but processing film feels more and more taxing as the years pass. I have been unable to find clean and clear answers to my question: can I use my old Summilux 50/f1.4, Summaron 35/f2.8 and newer Voigtländer 21/f4 on a Monochrom body? The switch is tenting but as I work mostly on a volunteer basis these days and cost is an issue.
  18. Hi I've come from m43 and apart from a short flirtation with the original T system I'm new to Leica and very new to using adapted lens so would be very grateful for some advice on using non-Leica glass on my new CL. I'm extremely keen on UWA photography and whilst I have the excellent TL 11-23mm I still yearn for a little more width. On m43 I used the Voigtlander 10.5mm f0.95 mainly for nighttime tripod work and a Samyang fisheye for all sorts of things. I'm ready now to fully transition to CL so would like to replace the capability of those two lenses on this system. So, taking each lens in turn..... The Voigt on m43 was never as wide as I wanted but I had other lenses and the rendering is lovely (non-technical term) and it gives amazing starbursts at night. I don't need f0.95 when the camera is screwed onto a tripod so I have been considering the Voigtlander Hyper Wide 10mm f5.6 mounted on the CL via the M adaptor. But by my calculation on the CL sensor it will give me only a circa 5 degree increase in the field of view compared to the 11mm end of the TL 11-23mm so maybe not enough to justify its purchase. The Samyang fisheye is an extremely sharp, capable and versatile little lens on m43 and I'm keen to add it to my camera bag for the CL. It comes in a variety of mounts for ASP-C and gives a 180 degree diagonal FoV - Canon M, Nikon, Fuji X, Sony E (NEX), etc. Full details are here https://www.samyanglensglobal.com/en/product/product-view.php?seq=335 So here are my questions: 1. The Voigt 10mm is probably hard to justify given that I’m not going to get a lot of extra width for my money though someone may like to tell me if I’ve got my maths wrong. Are there any other UWA lenses that I should be considering or that other forum members would recommend? As always it will be a trade of between quality, speed and portability. 2. For the Samyang fisheye, should I prefer one mount to another for use on the CL? Is there another fisheye I should be considering? I’d be really interested to know if anyone out there is actually using this combo. Thanks for your help, my brain is still buzzing as I move from one system to another and try to compare fields of view and what is out there to do the job. I will post this over on the TL Lens forum as well.
