Dear Forum Members: It is my first day here and I am already so happy that there is so much to learn and every one is sharing knowledge so enthusiastically. I had a question about old lenses. On most lenses, when I move the focus to infinity, the barrel stops and I know this is the end of focus. But the Telyt 280mm f/4.8 lens I have got (series number is 234XXXX) goes beyond infinity and extends to the m/feet mark. I am attaching a photo explaining the problem. I have two questions: Is this normal? I am guessing that the Telyt 280mm f/4.8 lens does not couple with the rangefinder. In that case, I am going to be using the live-view any way. Let's say, this is a calibration issue with the lens. Eventually, it should work out with the live view mode, right? Or could this calibration error mean that my camera won't focus in the right range, ever.

There is now support in the new M for R-lenses - through an appropriate adapter. I have an excellent 180 mm Telyt that is collecting dust. So - - how about supporting vintage Visoflex lenses? What I would like: 1) a visoflex adapter (without the mirror of course, just a tube) 2) capability to select the Visoflex lenses in fact there was one adapter like this with a shoe for attaching a sniper viewer. There are only a view once in a while on the market, very expensive . . :-(( Such a simple visoflex adapter can be second source of course. I would buy from a far-east source without a pain in the heart...

Hello all, I'm getting somewhat confused on how Visoflex lenses can be used on a R body: - Presumably, 1, 2 or 3 cams or 3rd cam only should not matter. Leicaflex, Leicaflex SL ( I or II ) or Leica R should not matter. Right? or wrong? - What adapter stands in between the Visoflex lens and the R body? - What about focusing helicoid for M/SM lens heads? - Whatever else I did not think of... Thank you all. Guy
