Hello, I took a trip on a sailing ship half around Europe, from the Netherlands to Portugal. Here I like to show a few pictures from it. I decided to take my good old M 240 with me and wondered that she survived. She got sprayed with salt water, was dangling against the made of steel bowsprit or other things, stays wet most of the time and slipped together with me about 4 meters along the floor of the deckhouse in a storm to be stopped from some tables and banks. Close to a total loss in some situations, but stills she works. Wow! Day is dawning on the Atlantic Furling the sails Around sunddown To be continued. Best regards Frank

Hi there, long time no posts from me. Busy time, and well other issues... Now I have the chance to post two - for me - impressive images of the world largest sailing ship that has been released for test drive from the dock. Over all length is 147 meters. Estimated costs approx. 100 million Euros. It is said that this ship was ordered by a Russian oligarch. Cheers

Stickan 1 A quick grab shot for you, while walking my dog this morning. A typical foggy and grey San Francisco morning, the Golden Gate Bridge is hiding in the fog in the distance. The ACWS starts this afternoon, and the wind in the bay along with the course, has provided quite a challenge for the teams in the warm-up runs yesterday. kaethe
