This old barn not too far from my place always serves as an interesting foreground, particularly when something is happening in the background, in this case, a sunset storm (Leica X2)

Excerpts from a recent visit to Humboldt Redwoods in Northern California, home to some of the oldest and tallest trees on the planet. And if you are lucky to visit them right after rains, it's pure magic! (All pics with Leica X2)

I recently acquired a used X2 for a good price; well an X1 first which had fantastic IQ, but also revealed some sensor dust, not to mention atrocious battery life; so back it went and in came the X2. The camera rocks! After taking it for a spin last few days, I'm very impressed with the latitude the raw files provide. Looking forward to many more happy wanderings with the X2. Here is a sample.

I recently passed through the beautiful agricultural region of Palouse in SE corner of Washington State and came across these two in a pasture by the roadside. Taken with Leica X2.

The Monticello Dam Spillway near Winters, California (Leica X2). At the lake's peak level the spillway can drain 48,400 cubic feet per second (1,370 m3/s), which occurs when the lake level rises to 15.5 feet (4.7 m) above the level of the funnel (Wikipedia).
