Well I just received the Q today, so far extremely pleased That said, one extreme annoying issue is the lens hood/cap. why don't they include a lens hood cap? Instead you have to unscrew the lens hood to put the lens cap on, so annoying. Can anyone think of any other option ? Thanks in advance...

Hi, I know that Lightroom is supporting the Q's crop mode in DNG, meaning it will automatically crop to 35mm or 50mm aspect with the ability to recover the 28mm frame. I know that Capture One unfortunately do not support the crop modes and will just display the full 28mm. I'd like to test the feature on other RAW converter before purchasing my Q. Would anyone be kind to send me a DNG file which has been taken in 35 or 50mm mode? Thanks a lot! Romain

Hi, am I the only one experiencing temperature issues with my Q? After 10 minutes of use it gets really warm (almost hot) in the right body area (where the battery sits) and in the screen area. Is this normal? It's such a nice camera but I really don't like that behavior. Anybody else experiencing this, should I worry? FW 2.0. Thanks a lot!

Hi everyone! I’m currently traveling in Myanmar right now and yesterday the app on my iPhone suddenly stopped connecting? I have been using the app for well over a year and had used it 5 minutes prior to it not connecting on me. Now when I try to connect the WiFi network it indicates that I have put in the incorrect password. Which I haven’t. I’ve tried several times just to make sure and have had others try to make sure it wasn’t just me but it indicates incorrect password despite putting in the password displayed on the Q. Help please. I usually travel solo and this app has been a lifesaver. Thank you in advance and happy holidays!

Hi, does anyone know about some secure waterproof housing for the Leica Q? I don't want to dive with it to great depth but would like to take some under / over the water surface shots with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!

I was all set to purchase the Leica Q on Monday. I had sold my Canon gear in the previous weeks and couldn't wait to get the Leica. I live in Changchun city, China and the closest Leica store to me is in Beijing, about a 7 hour train ride. So I travelled down for one night and got a really bad reception at the store. I was not allowed to try the camera, let alone hold it. I had travelled this far and thought, well, I have read all the reviews I should get it anyway. The price was 32,000 RMB which is 5,153 US or 4,725 euro. Much higher than other places around the world. Still, it's the only Leica store and with all the warranty's and after sales care, I decided I would pull the trigger. When I was ready to buy, even though I couldn't try it, even though it's more expensive, the sales person wouldn't sell it to me unless I purchased 9,000RMB worth of accessories! That's 1,448 US, 1,328 euro. Cases, straps, things I didn't want. I decided not to purchase and walked away feeling like they didn't even want my custom. (almost like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman ;-)) I travelled 14 hours, was exhausted and came back with nothing. What I'm wondering is, is this a representation of Leica or just China? Has anyone else experienced this? I would normally hold Leica very high but I've had better care in a sweet shop. Almost turn me off investing in their products.
