This is using a 90mm Elmar f4 lens, from 1951 on a digital body. I managed to focus it, more by feel than by sight. I'm liking the lens a little more than I did initially. It does well in flat lighting, as shade, here.

Hi to all interested in photographing with vintage screw mount Leica`s. After first year of my activity in photography I decided to upload a litte overview of my photos taken with Leica IIIc and a couple of LTM-lenses. Visti my youtube-channel PhotoLoge 84 (link below) and watch the video. Im beginner, still learnnig and focused on improving my approch to photgraphy - so any critics, suggestions or tips are welcome! For every vistiging, watching, commenting or any feedback many thanks in advance link: https://youtu.be/zVQ8uKytj98

Hi, My Elmar 24mm had a rattling sound which was originating from the front ring of the lens, where the name and serial number is printed, see enclosed pic. The ring was glued with three dots of glue and this was not sufficient for holding it. Anyone else who have similar experience? I will send it to Leica Wetzlar for inspection. /Bapu

Greeting Knowledgeable Gentlemen, I have a curious little accessory here. From the waist down, it's a normal lens hood fitting the 3.5cm & 5cm Summicron, Elmar, etc. Instead of a normal hood, however, it has a male 49mm thread on the front. It's marked "42" on the rear chrome surface that faces the camera. Please help!

Looking to purchase a 24mm Elmar. Found a great deal on a new lens. Would like to hear from M240 and other M owners how they like it especially since it will be used primarily on a M240. Have heard that the new 3.8 is better then the last generation 2.8. The 3.8 has different characteristics and is a little more contrast to it.

Hi, everyone! Please make me sure, that I'm correct, if I have these thoughts about this lens: - Changeable, but non-standardized (not interchangeable): - no "0" on the mount anywhere (as I know this is not a prove) - close focus to 0,5, that I can't use with my modded Leica II (I->II standardized), because it's uncoupled - below one meter the finder "jumps" - it has three digits serial number, as I know the last three digits from the body's serial, that ensures, that it can be used only with the body it was built for. (if it's true, 2307 pieces were made of this kind of Elmar 35mm) I gathered these information, and want to be sure, if they are correct. S o please help me, if you can! And one other question! If these things are true - is there any chance to find the body? Best regards! Jeremy

Gruss Michael
