It's been pointed out to me that you can access your old images by clicking on the triangle next to your name and clicking 'attachments' - as I result I've been able to locate some old images that I thought were lost forever - thanks Pete (farnz) for pointing this out !! This lead me to thinking that it would be nice if we built a record of previous One Challenges, so that they could be easily accessed by forum members, for fun and historic interest I've begun this tread for the Paris 2006 One Challenge and perhaps we might build separate threads for the other challenges So, if you have images from the Paris 2006, why not post them here..!!

Hallo liebe Analog Verfallenen, der FrancoC (Thorsten) und ich, Les Rues Voyeur (Michael) hatten die Idee eine analoge Foto Challenge untereinander zu machen. Grundgedanke: Beide mit Leica M3 und Elmar 50mm versenkbar, ein Kodak Tri-X (also 36 Fotos), ein Tag (in Düsseldorf, gilt nur für uns). In unserem Fall wird die Belichtung per Belichtungsscheibe einmalig ermittelt und der Rest ist fotografisches Geschick und Können. Dann entwickeln, scannen und hier zeigen. Aber Thorsten kam der Gedanke, warum nicht unter Allen, die dazu Lust haben. Also liebe Mitforenten Ihr seid herzlich dazu eingeladen an der Challenge teilzunehmen. Also hier die Challenge etwas weiter gefasst, als wir es oben persönlich gedacht und umsetzen werden. Getreu dem Leica Credo: „Reduziert auf das Wesentliche!“ Ein Tag, ein Film, eine Kamera, ein Objektiv. Das Datum steht fest: Sonntag, der 9.Juli 2017 Was für einen Film ihr benutzt ob 120er, 36er, Farbe oder SW bleibt euch überlassen. Was für eine Kamera Ihr verwendet ist euch überlassen (keine DIGITALE). Ist ja auch eine Analog Challenge. Und es muss nicht Leica sein, es geht ja um den Spass und das Endprodukt. Freuen würd es uns trotzdem, wenn genügend zur Leica greifen würden. Ein Objektiv! Auch hier ist euch die freie Wahl gegeben. Es wäre sehr nett, wenn die, die sich dazu berufen fühlen, dieser Challenge beizuwohnen, hier ein kurzes "Hallo, ich mache mit!" hinterlassen würden. Je nach Teilnehmerzahl sollten wir hier erstmal vorab die präsentierten Fotos auf 3 Exponate pro Teilnehmer begrenzen. Fotos, die hier dann eingestellt werden, sind bitte immer mit Folgendem zu kennzeichnen: Kamera, Objektiv, Film, Entwickler, (mit oder Ohne Bildbearbeitung), Ort. Thorsten und ich würden uns freuen noch viele Challenge Teilnehmer quer durch die Republik oder vielleicht gerade im Urlaub verweilend, begrüßen zu dürfen. Es dürfen sich auch gerne noch Fotografen in Düsseldorf uns anschliessen. Es wäre auch nett, falls sich noch mehr solche Gruppen, wie wir in Düsseldorf für die Challenge zusammenfinden, zu erfahren, wo diese anderenorts sind und wer daran teilnimmt. Ach ja zu guter Letzt! This thread is for posting photos from the Leica Melbourne One Challenge weekend by those who attended. Now that the judging is completed it's time we had a place to show our other photos that weren't entered. (The results can be found at this link and all of the entries can be found in the Events and Member Meetings' subforum under the appropriately-named thread.) This thread is intended to be not just for those pictures that you decided did not quite make the 'entry cut' for the challenges but is also for any shot from the weekend that you'd like to share. It would be helpful if you'd say which ones were considered for either the day or night challenges and lots of people are interested in the camera and lens used so it would be helpful if you would very kindly include those too please. In my (limited) experience, we photographers are our worst editors. When selecting our entries for competitions, challenges, etc., so often our 'best' pics get edited out. Here is a chance to show your current edits from the currently 'being judged' Barnack Challenge, theme of Tones, Tones, Tones. Following are two of my edits.

The voting is now open for the 2010 Decisive Challenge which took place November 14th. Voting will close at midnight Pacific Time on Sunday December 12th. Winners will be announced on December 15th. The First Annual “Decisive Challenge”. With the Henri Cartier Bresson show making it’s way around the USA, the time is right for a challenge in honor of one of the more influential photographers of the 20th century. Join with fellow photographers from around the world to create a day where street shooting reigns supreme and a pillar of modern photography is remembered. When: November 14th Where: EVERYWHERE. The challenge itself is a worldwide challenge, open to anyone who wants to capture a “decisive moment” on November 14th. Let's see street work from around the world on one day, this day. If you happen to be local you can join the San Francisco group at the following location: San Francisco- SF MOMA at 11 AM for “Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century”. What’s this all about? On November 14th you will head out into your local city, village or town and try to make HCB proud. Shoot with the spirit of the master and attempt to capture an image that reflects the type of style and subject matter that HCB was known for. Don’t forget to let your style show through, nobody likes a copy cat! What are the rules? Not many. 1) This is not a limited “one lens, one camera” challenge, instead you can use whatever tool best works for you and take as many pictures as you like. HCB used the tools that were right for him, and if he was alive today he would do the same I am sure. It’s about the image and capturing the moment, use whatever allows you to do that. 2) All photos MUST BE TAKEN ON NOVEMBER 14th. Please submit all photos in Black and White. Well, that’s a nod to HCB and his preferred medium. 3) You have ALL DAY to shoot so you can find the light and conditions that are right for you. It’s the honor system, so an image taken one minute too early or late should not be submitted. 4) Each participant can enter two, and only two, photos. How do we submit our entries? You will have until midnight on November 30th to submit your entries via email to: HCBentries@gmail.com. 1) Submissions should be no more than 500k and measure no longer than 1000 pixels wide. 2) Each photo should include a Title and the submitters Real and Forum name, if you have one. Also please include the forum/site name you are a member of. 3) Pictures should not be shared anywhere before the contest. Anonymity is important for a nice fair vote later on. Then what? On December 2nd I will take all submitted photos and post them, in random order and with no names attached, to a site for review. Each photo will have a letter(letters) next to it and you will pick your top 3 and comment in the voting thread. Voting will be open until midnight December 12th. Votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced December 15th. Example where photo “x” is your favorite, “F” is your second choice and “A” is your 3rd favorite. You must make 3 selections or the votes will not be counted.: X-1 F-2 A-3 Prizes... Well beyond the obvious honor and thrill of winning this inaugural event we will work to find some token for each of the three top vote getters. Henri Cartier-Bresson- The Modern Century. There will be a get together of rangefinder and street shooting fans on November 14th, 11AM at the San Francisco MOMA. After viewing the show we will head over to Rickenbacker's Cafe on 2nd for a nice lunch and a few adult beverages. After that we will be holding the Decisive Challenge, an homage to HCB and a fun time for all. I will post more details on the challenge shortly. Join us for a day at the museum, lunch and drinks and some street shooting in San Francisco. It should be a great day! Kent

So we're having an exiting photo competition over the next 14 days, inspired by the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.
