Is early days I realise, but I wonder if we could please have a thread devoted to third party lens performance on the SL please. In my case I would be interested in experiences with Zeiss F mount lenses (ZF/.2), particularly the 1.4/55 Otus, 1.4/85 Otus, and 2/135 Apo-Sonnar. But I also have a couple of C/Y lenses. I'm sure there are others here interested, as well as those with Canon and Nikkor glass. If I end up with and SL I will report first hand, but I haven't decided to pull the trigger yet (I had wished for higher resolution and IBIS), but there is a lot in this camera that appeals, including it looking like a good tool for some R glass I have. So, anyone with an SL and experience with third party lenses, please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Hi all! I have been testing the Commlite CM-EF-L autofocus adapter with several Canon EF lenses on my Leica CL, and I am glad to report that it works. As expected, AF-C and focus tracking is not supported, but the AF-S works reasonably well. Focusing speed and precision with most lenses is at almost native T/TL lenses level. So: -AF-S works (no tracking). Touch AF also works. -IS with Canon stabilized lenses works. -EXIF data is transferred correctly to the files, save for the F/1.2 that is reported as F/1.3 (something I had already seen with other third party AF adapters on Sony cameras). I used A and M modes, on Firmware 4.0. Adapter firmware is upgradeable via an USB port on the adapter itself. There are no new FW listed on Commlite’s site, and it worked right out of the box. The lenses that I tested, and worked, so far are: 14/2.8L-II, 16-35/4L-IS, 24/2.8 IS, 24/1.4L-II, 40/2.8 STM, 50/1.2L, 50/2.5 compact macro (with and without the Lifesize 1:1 converter), 85/1.2L-II and 100/2 USM. The only glitch I have experienced is that Battery level is not correctly reported to the camera, and the first time I mounted the adapter on the CL, I got a warning message about the “Camera possibly not displaying reliable battery charge levels with this lens” that did not repeat. In fact, after a hundred exposures with different lenses, the battery appeared as depleted. The workaround I found was shutting down the camera, taking off the battery, mount a native TL lens, put again the battery in and the charge was there again, correctly reported at about 2 / 3. During next week I will try to test the adapter with more Canon FF lenses, and EF-S APSc lenses. I am very interested to see how the compact EF-S 10/18 zoom and EF-S pancake 24/2.8 perform on the CL. So, after all the let down expectatives we CL users held on the MC-21 adapter by Sigma, I am glad to share that there’s still a light on the path to use many more lenses options!

Who will solve this one? I have attached an interesting photo of Winogrand working, taken by photographer Tod Papageorge in 1967. The problem is as follows: Winogrand is using two Leicas (I assume) - up to his eye is one with a Canon 35mm f/1.8 attached. Down towards his left hip is another camera with a mystery lens. Which one is it? As Papageorge took this picture, Winogrand had just finished taking one of his most famous photographs. Seemingly with a 35mm Canon (not the well known 28mm he often used, and perhaps even made famous). Also of interest, I have actually seen his contact print. The roll starts off in London, then BOOM, first strike back in Central Park gives an iconic photo. This should be fun!

Hallo, Martin Lopez mein Name. Ich bin neu hier im Forum und wollte kurz ein ´Hallo´ einwerfen und in dem Zug ein paar Worte zu der Q verlieren. Ich bin ca. 2008 zur Fotografie gekommen. Angefangen hab mit einer Canon 1000D und einem 50 mm f 1.8. Zoom Objektive haben mich irgendwie nur am Anfang kurz interessiert. Ich höre aber oft von einsteiger in der Fotografie das sie mach Brennweite lechzen. Je mehr desto besser, um dann meistens festzustellen das man das gar nicht benötigt. Ausnahmen bestätigen natürlich immer die Regel (Wildlife, etc.). Wenn jemand nach 10 Jahren immer noch das Megazoom drauf hat, bin ich jedenfalls skeptisch. Schnell habe ich festgestellt das ein Mensch mit >100 mm Brennweite (KB) irgendwie für mich in die Richtung ´seelenlose Fotografie´ geht. Mir ist der look viel zu komprimiert und auch ´zu weit weg´. Ich bekomme da überhaupt kein Gefühl von nähe. Den Menschen im Kontext der Umgebung festzuhalten ist für mich auch nicht möglich. Schon mit 50mm (KB) nicht mehr. Ich bin dann relativ schnell zu einer Canon 6D mit 35 mm f 1.4 gekommen. Ich wusste intuitiv - hier bin ich richtig. Noch richtiger war ich dann mit dem 24 mm f 1.4. Ich denke ich werde keine andere Brennweite mehr finden, die für mich bezogen auf Menschen so viel Authentizität versprüht wie ein 24 mm (KB). Aufpassen muss man halt nur, wenn man zu nahe ran geht. Dafür gibt es dann aber mit 35 mm wiederum ausdrucksstarke Porträts. Selbstverständlich ist immer alles reine Geschmacksache. Ich als absolut reiner Hobbyfotograf muss aber definitiv in keine Kerbe hauen, niemanden mit irgendwelchen Kram bedienen, noch überhaupt das machen was auf einer Welle mit anderen schwimmt. Vieles da draußen finde ich super, viel mehr jedoch aber richtig schlecht oder mir zu langweilig. Richtig gut, finde ich z.B. das hier, oder das hier. Um es gleich einzuwerfen: Ich liebe die Ergebnisse der 6D mit dem Sigma 24/35 mm f 1.4. Jedoch liebe ich nicht die Kamera. Sie ist (mir zu) hässlich, schwer, klobig und groß. Ich muss quasi immer überlegen ob ich sie mitnehme und sie wird immer ein Fremdkörper bleiben - und ich habe jetzt auch kein schlechtes Gewissen das so zu schreiben :-). Seit Jahren überlege ich eine M9 zu kaufen. Das wäre wohl nicht das Thema gewesen. Allerdings müsste dann ein Summilux 24 mm f 1.4 drauf, was dann mit ~ 4500 € schon ordentlich auf meinen Latz haut. Wenn schon ne M, dann auf jeden Fall ohne Kompromisse bei der Linse, denn diese wird den Body überleben und nicht anders herum. Nun ist es aber nicht so, das ich jemand bin der sich sein halbes Leben in Nostalgie badet und grundsätzlich neue Technologien verteufelt. Eigentlich ist das Gegenteil der Fall. Und so bin ich zur Q gekommen ... ich hab sie für 3000 € gebraucht mit Restgarantie gekauft. Ich hab sie jetzt gute drei Wochen. Über Leica könnte man jetzt viel schreiben und herum philosophieren. Solange mir aber kein anderer Anbieter eine weitwinklige, offenblendige, kleine, leichte und eine Kamera mit großen Sensor anbietet, ist eigentlich jedes reden darüber sinnlos. Die einzige die ich jetzt noch kenne ist die Sony RX1R II. Aber mit 35 mm f 2.0 bin ich nicht bereit das Geld hinzulegen. Letztendlich ist es immer ein Kompromiss und jeder muss selbst entscheiden ob er lieber dies oder das möchte. Auch die Q ist für mich ein Kompromiss, wenn auch der kleinste von allen. Ich hätte lieber ein 24 mm f 1.4 gehabt (womöglich auch 26 mm). Ob das nun technisch und wirtschaftlich so klein und leicht lösbar gewesen wäre, kann ich überhaupt nicht beurteilen. An einer Q mit mehr Brennweite bin ich z.B. gar nicht interessiert. Wahrscheinlich auch in 10 Jahren noch nicht. Meine Gedanken zur Q. Je weiter oben es steht, desto mehr Gewichtung hat es für mich: Positiv: - Ich nehme sie dahin mit, wo die Canon Zuhause bleibt. - Klein, leicht und ohne Logo unauffällig. - Schärfe und Auflösung der Fotos exzellent. Wow! - Autofokus schnell. - Touch AF + Auslösen und Gesichtserkennung nützlich. (Der Tag wird kommen). - Kurze Belichtung mit 1/16.000 Sekunde Graufilter ade! Kann mir jemand erklären warum erst ab 1/2000 Sekunde das Geräuschlos ist? Wie ist das mit dem Zentralverschluss? Warum wird dieser ab 1/2000 nicht mehr geschlossen / geöffnet? - Verarbeitung und Qualität ist gut. Bei dem Preis aber nicht der Rede wert. Jedenfalls für mich. Neutral: - Ich ertappe mich gerne dabei mit der Kamera per LCD zu fotografieren. Ob das nun gut ist, oder nicht, ich bin mir noch nicht sicher. - AF Modus Verfolgung muss ich noch genauer Testen. Der erste Versuch mit einem kleinen Kind auf einem Trampolin waren jetzt nicht soooo geil. Negativ: - Der EVF braucht gefühlt eine halbe Ewigkeit wenn ich das Auge rannehme. Also die Verzögerung vom Wechseln LCD zum EVF. Das einzige was mir bisher eingefallen ist, ist den einfach an zu lassen. Gibt es eine andere Lösung? Wer kann dazu etwas sagen? - Die Objektivkorrektur bei der Vignettierung ist mir viel zu akkurat. Das mögen zwar viele total toll finden, ich jedoch nicht. Was ich bei der Canon in der Vignettierung der Objektivkorrektur im ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) weg lasse, muss ich bei der Leica gerne mal wieder mit Stärke -100 und Mittenwert 35 dazu rechnen. Krass! - Die Farben der Fotos im RAW sind recht kühl, was ich so nicht erwartet habe. Zu "klinisch" trifft es ganz gut. Das ist bei der Canon nicht der Fall. Dort empfinde die Farben etwas wärmer und auch harmonischer. Nichts was man per EBV nicht lösen könnte, klar. Aber das erste "Aha" kommt dennoch vom ersten Blick in der Bridge. Der look der JPG´s interessiert mich bis auf weiteres erstmal nicht. - Kein Button für ein/aus vom LCD. - Der Autofokus ist mir AFc Modus etwas unheimlich. Warum pumpt er denn die ganze Zeit, wenn ich auf ein statisches Motiv fokussiere? Ist das normal? - Cropmodus: Mir wäre ein einfaches vergrößern des Bildes lieber gewesen, anstatt der Rahmen. Besser noch als Option. Auch dann zusätzlich mit durchgängigem weißen Rahmen und deutlicher Abdunklung außen. Und wenn mir schon dabei sind. 35 mm, 50 mm: ja / nein. Also das man z.B. nur 28 / 35 durchschalten kann. - Akkuleistung ist gefühlt schlecht. Ich hab mir noch zwei Sigma BP-51 Akkus dazu gekauft. - Sie klappert. Macht ja nichts, jedoch werde ich da jetzt nie ein Gefühl von Robust bekommen. Und das wird definitiv eine Kamera sein, die ihre Schrammen abbekommen wird! - Kopflastig. Wenn man sie hinstellt, kippt sie nach vorne weg. Etwas unschön. - Kein Klappdisplay wie bei Canon. Fände ich in der Tat gut, weil ich den auch mal zu lassen kann. Klappdisplay zu = EVF automatisch an. Eine M-D in besser :-) - Kein 4K Video. Es wäre sicherlich ein leichtes für Leica das zu implementieren. Da kommt dann auch eine ganz andere Käuferschicht hinzu, wenn die 4K mit 60fps machen würde! Das würde mit 28mm bei f 1.7 in der Größe keine andere Kamera der Welt bieten. Letztendlich gefällt mir die Größe und das geringe Gewicht, jedoch komme ich mit der Verzögerung vom Wechseln LCD zum EVF noch nicht ganz klar. Wo meine Canon technisch bedingt durch das Licht im Sucher instant(!) - auch wenn die Kamera im Standby war - sofort startklar ist. Eben genau der Moment wenn der eigene Sohn einen Blödsinn macht und man diesen dann für die Ewigkeit festhält, oder eben nicht ... Die Wahrscheinlichkeit das ich Sie behalte ist groß. Noch habe ich Sie nicht ganz in mein Herz geschlossen. Ich hoffe das war jetzt nicht zu viel Text, oder zu viel außen herum erzählt. Aber sicherlich ist für sowas ja auch so ein Forum da. Wer gerne ein paar Fotos von mir sehen möchte, kann gerne hier ein wenig stöbern: https://eyespeak.de und https://blog.eyespeak.de. Ich bin für Kritik jeder Art, Gespräche und Diskussionen immer offen. Bitte nicht vergessen das dies alles jammern auf hohen Ni­veau ist. Aber ich bin jetzt auch nicht ein Mensch der in Ohnmacht fällt, wenn er ein Stück aktuelle Technik in der Hand hält. Bei einem Kauf einer Leica Q kann man so einen Text aber schon mal verfassen. Sicherlich sind ja hier einige Leute unterwegs die ebenfalls von einer DSLR kommen. Von daher sicher interessant. Ich wünsche einen sonnigen Tag - wird Zeit würde ich sagen! Gruß Martin

I am new to this forum, but I am considering the major step of switching my entire AF from Canon to Leica. While I have never shot with the SL, the simplicity and design are really making me want to make the jump. I currently shoot with a 1DX Mk ii, and I have a Sony A7ii with an M Adapter and an M9 as well that I just recently purchase and love it. Has anyone made the same switch or has shot with both and has advice or insight? Thank you and glad to be in the forum. Note: I got the camera for a Safari and it performed well - but haven't used it much since. Mike

Gibt es jemanden, der Erfahrungen mit Canon LTM/M39 an analogen wie digitalen Leicas hat? Die wenigen Beispiele, die man davon findet sehen sind durchaus vielversprechend aus und anders als Leica, aber mit eigenem Charakter. Erinnert mich irgendwie stark an die Canon K35 Objektive für ursprgl. 35mm-Filmkameras, ähnlich weich und trotzdem halbwegs detailreiche Abbildungen und irgendwie der gleiche Objektivcharakter. Funktioniert mit Adapter die Messsucherkopplung, oder ist das wie bei allen Russischen eher auf Zeiss Contax hin kalibriert?

Hallo! Ist da jemand unter Euch, der für Scannen von SW-Negativen den Canon CanoScan 9950F im erweiterten Modus benutzt? Ein Problem taucht immer wieder auf. Sofern Negative von mir korrekt belichtet und dann auch korrekt entwickelt worden sind, bewährt sich das Gerät hervorragend. Brauche ich aber eine Korrektur (Belichtung, Kontrast usw) durchzuführen, dann wirds schon hoffnungslos problematisch. Kurz und bündig: ich mach den Vorschau von allen 5 Negativstreifen. Im Vorschaufeld sehen die Miniaturen meistens gar nicht schlecht aus.(Bild 1) Würde ich sagen, wenn Helligkeit, Kontrast, usw. im Endeffekt dem entsprechen würde, was in der Vorschauphase zu sehen ist, hätte ich gegen das Gerät gar nix auszsusetzten. Aber nachdem ich das Vorschaubild gescannt habe, sieht das zu speicherne Bild dermaßen schrecklich aus, dass es keinen Sinn hat, es zu speichern. So versuche ich an der Belichtungskurve eigniges zu verbessern. Das Vorschaubild wirds dabei heller, einfach besser (Bild 2). Dann los mit dem Scannen, worauf es sich heraustellt, dass alle diese Einstellungen, die ich an der Kurve durchgeführt habe, gar nicht übernommen worden sind, bzw. das Bild sieht noch dunkler aus.(Bild 3) Als hätte ich an der Kurve gar nix hantiert. Und ja, jede Änderung an der Kurve bestätige ich natürlich mit der Taste "Bestätigt die entgültigen Ausgabe Einstellungen". Аber es hilft natürlich nicht. Habt ihr änhliche Erfahrungen?

leica sl - canon fd 1.2 85mm aspherical

Met with a friend a few weeks ago and brought my Summicron-R 90mm f/2 along. Unfortunately, I only used the Canon 85L and the Nikkor 58G after the first few shots with the Leitz, even though they turned out to be amazing.. I always process both colour and monochrome versions when I shoot portraits. Found that most of my students prefer colour whereas I myself like the monochromes better. Meet Kathi, a former student of mine and one of my favourite models She's simply amazing. The streets around us were buzzing with tourists and people staring at us. Some came over asking what we were doing. An older man even apporached me to tell me that I should swap to Sony to get a smaller, lighter camera. Then one man (in his sixties) told me that it wasn't hard to get good pictures of such a pretty girl. Through all that, Kathi remained perfectly relaxed and had loads of fun. I really love the 90mm and am keeping my Canon 1Ds mainly so that I can keep shooting portraits with it

Went out to test newly acquired Canon Ltm 50mm 1.4 Version II. What an incredible lens ! So much character wide open, pretty sharp as well. Very strong stepped down. Great contrast all the way. Best 200$ cdn spent in the last few months. Strongly recommend it to whoever is looking for affordable 50mm option and wants it to have "balls" Love it.

Hi, this Canon Serenar 100mm f/4 lens is not M39 (LTM) lens mount, like most are. It has four flanges, but no external threads. Is it M mount? Something for cinematography? Thanks! (non-Leica owner trying to get to the bottom of this mystery)

Hallo @all hier, ich bin neu hier im Forum und lese schon eine weile hier mit und hab mich vor ein par Tagen dann hier registriert um die Funktionen hier im Forum besser nutzen zu können. Da ich selber als Admin zwei Foren betreue finde ich, dass eine kurze Vorstellung der beste Weg zum ersten Beitrag ist. Ich lebe und wohne in Kornwestheim bei Stuttgart und die Fotografie war in den 70ér noch der Beruf bis ich Mitte der 80ér in die IT und Logistik gewechselt habe. Da habe ich dann die Fotografie als Hobby für mich neu entdeckt, der Digital Fotografie stand ich immer skeptisch gegenüber so kam es auch das ich erst in 2009 meine erste Digital-Camera kaufte eine Canon G11 die ich dann als Reise-Kamera nutzte, neben meiner Analogen Nikon F3 T die ich heute noch im Gebrauch habe. Es war jetzt an der zeit nach einer neuen "immer dabei Camera" ausschau zu halten, ich reise gerne und oft und zur letzten Reise im Januar hat mir meine Tochter ihre neue Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100 zum testen ausgeliehen. Ich war mit ihr in USA und Mexiko unterwegs und war beeindruckt von der kleinen Kamera die Canon G11 ist nicht schlecht aber schon viel größer und schwerer als die LX-100. Ich hatte auch die Möglichkeit eine Sony RX-100 M IV über ein WE zu testen die war richtig gut aber dann für meine Hände fast schon zu klein. Es ist schon faszinierend wie wenig man mit so einer kleinen Kamera überhaupt bemerkt wird und der Silent-Mod von der LX100 trägt noch mehr dazu bei und wenn man entdeckt wird, wird man mit so einem kleinem Spielzeug nicht besonders ernst genommen und alle verhalten sich natürlich und so gelingen einem damit sagenhafte Aufnahmen. Mit einer großen professionell anmutenden Kamera geht das nicht jeder wirft sich gleich in pose, oder man wird gleich gefragt für wen oder was man fotografiert in vielen Länder ist es auch üblich eine art Trinkgeld zu bekommen wenn man mit so einer Camera fotografiert wird. Eine LX-100 sollte es dann werden für die nähste Reise Mitte Mai auf die Philippinen bei der Suche im Netz bin ich auf gute Angebote gestoßen und von dem gleichen Händler aus China, von dem ich schon meine Canon G11 her hatte fand ich das beste Angebot für 469 € aber ich wurde auch bei der Suche auf eine identische Kamera die fast ein Clon dazu ist die Leica D-Lux Typ 109 aufmerksam. Dann hab ich mich über die D-LUX weiter informiert und sie gefiel mir Optisch immer besser und technisch wusste ich ja schon von der LX-100 her bescheid. Mein China Händler hatte sie gerade nicht im Programm aber ein identischer Händler der auch über England liefert hatte sie für 712 € im Angebot. Ja man muss schon ein wenig verrückt sein um 250 € mehr nur für die Optik und den Namen mehr auszugeben, aber ich bin halt so verrückt und hab sie bestellt und zwei Wochen später war sie dann da. Ich konnte jetzt mal beide direkt in der Hand vergleichen und mir gefällt die Leica einfach besser als die Panasonic und ich werde sie bestimmt nicht zurück schicken, mehr kann ich dann nach dem Urlaub im Mai zu den Fotos sagen was ich so kurz die letzten 10 Tage feststellte sind die Bilder von der Qualität her gleich gut. Das war mir bisher neu! Frage an die Oldtimer unter den Forenten: Das Foto entstand um ca. 1960. Wurden um diese Zeit herum auch von Canon Linsen hergestellt die an der M-Kamera Verwendung fanden?? Gab es damals das M-Bajonett noch nicht?? Kam das erst viel später?? Danke für die Rückmeldungen zu diesem Thema! Walter

What are your thoughts on Leica rangefinder/viewfinders vs other cameras? I am currently using a Canon Canonet that I recently purchased. I am interested in purchasing a Leica, but am worried that the rangefinder/viewfinder might be too hard (squinty) for me to use? I do wear glasses. Mahalo!

Dear ALL, I am posting this thread here seeking your suggestion. I am going to Alaska for a month from August-Sept. I do have both Canon (800/5.6 IS, and other Canon lenses, Canon latest Body) and also Leica DMR+R9 and Leica Modul system 400/2.8, may get 1.4X or 2X Modul making my system 800/5.6 and do have other R lenses too. I am in dilema whether to bring the Leica or Canon system with me thinking that Leica would be better in terms of sharpness and color saturation but Canon is AF, faster motor, IS. Also the charge on Battery for DMR does not last long. Would be great to hear your experience and thought. Thanking you all and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe seit kurzen zusätzlich zu meiner R9 mit DMR eine Canon 5D MarkII, an der ich gern meine R Objektive verwenden möchte. Das 19mm F2.8 Elmarit-R (Version 2) scheint ja nur nach Umbau benutzbar zu sein, aber mein Macro-Elmarit-R 2,8/60 (Ser. 3337...) müßte doch mit einem Novoflex-Adapter gehen, oder? Und das Summilux R 1,4/50 (Ser. 3077...), sowie ein Vario-Elmarit-R 4/70-210? Vielen Dank schon mal! Luise

Hi folks, I have been thinking about buying another lens for my M8, something a bit wider to give me the 'classic' 35mm field of view. Here's the back story - I used to have a Canon 1DMkII and used a 50mm lens as my 'walkabout' lens, so when I sold it and went to the M8 I went for a 50mm Summilux mainly because that is a focal length that I was used to, especially since both cameras have a 1.3x crop sensor. So the question is - what are my options when it comes to achieving a 35mm equivalent on the M8? By my calculations I should aim for a 27mm to get the closest possible, but seems like I will need to compromise. Oh, one other thing - I would like to buy used and not spend too much. I'll list below the options that I've found, along with approximate used prices. (Mainly AUD, but that's not far from USD at the moment anyway...) Voigtlander 25mm f/4 - $420 (This actually looks like a new price?) Voigtlander 28mm f3.5 - just had a quick search online but not much success finding any of these?? Carl Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 - $1,000 Leica 28mm Elmarit (f/2.8) - $1,000 MS Optical Perar 28mm f/4 - $700 (The very far left-field oddball option... price is for new.) Canon 28mm f2.8 - $500 (Screw mount and would require adapter.) What is the opinion on much older lenses, say a 1970's 38mm Elmarit? Honestly I don't care about some paint wear or scratches on the body. Actually I suppose I shouldn't be too concerned, my Summilux is a 1970's model anyway and I am floored by the image quality (or maybe I'm just not very picky). I am seriously considering this old Elmarit, but my only concern is that it has neither front or rear lens caps, so I hope they're sturdy as it must have been stored like this as well... also 'cleaning marks' on the front glass. But this is by far the cheapest option... maybe a good cheap introduction to using 35mm? I figure I can always sell easily without much loss if I don't like it anyway. From what I have seen & read about the Canon 28/2.8 it seems like a great performer as well...? I don't necessarily expect the same performance as my Summilux, I suppose I am happy to experiment a bit because I have only used a single lens on my M8 so far. Interested to hear some other opinions. Are there any other screw mount lenses that I should consider? Cheers

Hallo, auf meiner alten Canon 7 ist ein 1,2/50 mit M39-Anschluß montiert. Erst jetzt komme ich auf den Gedanken, diese Optik mit einem M39 Adapter auf der M9 zu verwenden. Das funktioniert erstaunlich gut. Allerdings harmoniert der Body mit der Kurve des Objektivs nicht ganz perfekt (Front Focus). Wenn ich die Entfernung einen Tick in Richtung unendlich korrigiere, ist die Schärfe perfekt. Welche Werkstatt könnte das Objektiv justieren? Leica fasst ja Fremdobjektive nicht an. Am Body möchte ich nichts ändern, weil er auf alle meine anderen Objektive abgestimmt ist. Vielen Dank für Eure Tipps!

Liebe Forenten, ich bin recht günstig in den Besitz eines F1.2, 50mm-Objektivs von Canon gekommen, laut Seriennummer aus dem Jahr 1959. Ich würde es gerne mit meiner M9 nutzen (Adapter von Voigtländer). Im Nahbereich fokussiert das Ding ohne Probleme, ab ca. drei Metern funktioniert das nicht mehr. Weiß jemand, wo ich das Objektiv justieren lassen kann? Danke im Voraus!

With my recent problems with small format Epson R800 I'm thinking of replacing it with something that will cope with a wide variety of media, which the Canon 9500 (now Mk II) seems to do. Does anyone have any experience with this printer? Other Epsons have been suggested by kind forum members, but they are mostly too large and espensive for my needs. Any thoughts and opinions welcome. This is a Canon 1D(s) issue, but I know some M8 users have mentioned seeing evidence of lubricant spatter on their sensors, so it seemed appropriate to note that it DOES happen. Support - Digital SLR - EOS-1Ds Mark III - Service Notices - Canon USA Consumer Products Kudos to Canon for being on top of this issue, even if they have been knocked for being slow to respond to some things (1DIII AF issues, e.g.) Kudos to Canon for the detailed and extensive explanation of what is going on - including the Mark-Norton-like "surgery" picture of the offending mirror hinges. As Leica moves (we hope) towards a more professional support and service system to back up the S2, I hope in their visits to this forum they take note of this post. This is how to address the inevitable occasional problems with products! ---------------- P.S. I hope this will not be an issue with my forthcoming 5DII, but that if it is, I hope the 5D will get the same service and response as the 1D models.
