For some reason, after setting jpeg saturation settings to monochrome on my Q, it's not coming up on the Live View/EVF in b/w. Just color. After a capture, it is b/w on display. This was not the case until now. Not sure why. I have tried this with removing/reinserting the battery in case it's that ol' fix-a-bug gestalt. Did not work. Changed focus settings -as I read this may happen on tracking focus - never use it - just normal single point -- and again, only color. ISO at 3200. Any ideas?

This was taken in the downtown area of Southampton where I had been photographing in the small street market. I was about to get back into the car when I turned and saw this scene. The image really is a quick 'grab' shot without reseting anything. It is from June 2019, don't be fooled by the 2015 on the caption which is the film number. Leica M7 and Tri-X film commercially processed.

Kushinagar - India, Paranirvana Stupa, which commemorates the place where Buddha Shakyamuni died. Families come to cover the lying Buddha with robes. This was one of those circumstances where I felt compelled to lower the camera and just live in the moment. Leica CL + 18-56

Hi there, I recently purchased an M6 and plan to shoot black and white film with my 35 Summicron Version 2 8 Element lens. I read that many people use either the orange / yellow filter when it comes to shooting monochrome, I would just like to get your thoughts on which one serves better as an all purpose lens? And how exactly are they different when applied? Thanks! Regards, Jeffrey

I have just posted a new blog post at https://gerrywalden.wordpress.com/2016/09/05/just-one-roll-of-film/ which sabot a roll of film I shot in 2003 using a Leica M6 and (I think) a Summicron f2. It features 9 images in mono of a Mela in Southampton. Please take a look. Gerry
