I am a bit lost with what i have read about the radioactive summis. What is the deal with them? Are they more trouble than they are worth because of the browning? How about resale? Do people avoid them?

I am looking for a Summilux M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH black chrome edition lens. I have a like new Rolleiflex FW with W-Apogon 4/50 lens to trade. This is the exact same lens as the Schneider Super Angulon 4/50 with HFT multicoating used on early production FW cameras, with the name changed for licensing reasons. From the serial number, I believe the camera is from very late, near the end of their production of TLR cameras. Probably 2012. The styling and black leatherette covering are the same as used on the last model Rollei/DHW made, the highly collectible FX-N. A new original strap is included. The camera has seen very little and careful use. Comes with box, manual and inspection certificate. Great camera, but want to get back into Leica M. I also have a near new Rollei lens shade and a new Rollei/DW Photo 45-degree prism available for the camera. The camera was purchased from Shouten Select. The prism was purchased from Leica Store Lisse/Photo Henny Hoogeveen. Images of the camera are used with permission from Marco at Schouten. I can send more details and new images.NO VALUE SPECIFIED

VG jnero

I recently purchased a brand new unopened 50 summilux f/1.4 asph lens in silver and when I unpackaged it I noticed a clear liquid on the outside barrel of the lens. I was able to wipe it off but wondered what it was? And whether I should exchange the lens for a different one? Inside the lens it looks fine at the moment and not sure if liquid would have seeped inside. Just wandered if anyone had a similar experience. I want to make sure nothing is wrong with the lens since I spent 4K on it.
