Like so many I am in a lockdown situation, and as a safeguard I have not ventured out for many week because of my age and heart condition. Those around me are keen to keep me a live for some reason! 😄 I have therefore been exploring the home environment, and also exploring my under-used 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8 ASPH. Here is one from my garden which was taken with the Elmarit on my M240, and then converted to black and white in Lightroom CC. Technical details are 1/90 f8 @ 2000iso Init is pretty dark under the oak tree). Hope you like it! Gerry

The main stairwell at Studio 144 which is a recently-opened art complex in the centre of Southampton, England The space features a number of new galleries, workshops and video studios. The intention is that it be used for more contemporary art and installations to compliment the existing art gallery in the main civic building nearby. It is a joint venture between Southampton University and the city council. Taken using a Leica M240 with 24mm Elmarit f2.8 at 1250iso. 1/90 f4. This image was converted to black and white using LR Classic for submission to a black and white project on the National Geographic website. Gerry

Last night I took a trip into the centre of the city to look at the temporary ice rink but also took the opportunity to photograph the latest city centre leisure complex consisting of 10 cinema screens and countless restaurants. The ice rink is visible as the blue area bottom left, but not the purpose of this image. I must be honest, it is probably a young persons place, and I am not a young person, but I was quite pleased with my efforts. Here is a sample image taken at 2500iso using the Leica M240 and 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8. Settings were 1/45 at f2.8 (no tripod). I managed to get out today for a short walk in the town centre, and sat next to this lady whilst drinking my coffee. She was engrossed in the book and didn't notice me. Taken with my Leica M9 with the 24mm Elmarit f2.8. Gerry
