H guys, As mentioned in another thread, I just bought an SL and 24-90. I have always bought a skylight / UV or protective filter for any lens I have ever bought but this is my first Leica and I don't want to interfere with or degrade optical quality. So wanted some advice pls - filter needed or not? Thanks John

Rainy day no light no sun no fun.... The last ten minutes of the late evening this light was to be seen. Standing in the rain (SL makes it possible :-) ) 1/250 f4.5 ISO 200 at 82mm (24-90)

Wetter... und der Vorharz als Kulisse. Dazu eigentümliches schnell wechselndes Licht. Eigentlich hatte ich die Bilder in SW gesehen, Farbe gefällt mir aber besser. "Driving home"

Running backwards, Drive on continuous medium, Shutter speed priority. 24/90 at 24. Some frames show vignetting, others don't. Thoughts?

Had this before Christmas, unfortunately it seems to be back. With IS turned on, the image in the finder 'jumps' a little to the right, then back again. Seems to do it when the camera has been on for a few minutes and particularly when you focus/re-compose and hold the shutter on half pressure. Doing some searching, it seems to be a phenomenon with some IS lenses, particularly Canon. Anyone else have or come across anything like this?

Ming Thein said this in his "cameropedia" page about the 24-90: I would think that if the focus shift was a significant problem, we would hear more about it on the forum, especially since most SL users seem delighted with the SL and that lens specifically. Any feedback? (Ming's page is https://blog.mingthein.com/equipmentdatabase/ ).
