I have been in a rut lately so have posted very little. However I did shoot this a few days ago because I liked the combination of colours. I hope you think the effort was worthwhile! Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron-M f2 @400iso. Gerry
  3. Leica M8 with Voightlander75mm f1.8 Winter pond in Michigan.
  4. My first photo with my first Leica! Approaching the Geyser basin in Yellowstone on the Snow Road and the the cold temperature generates clouds of billowing steam against the sun. The lone tree on the plane of the old volcano basin provides context amongst the field of crisp cold snow.

  5. I was in Belgorod (Russia) some weeks ago for a photographic project. The winter atmosphere and the sovietic buildings were great. Leica Camera AG Leica M10-P Elmarit-M 1:2.8/28 ASPH. ƒ/5.6 28.0 mm 1/90 200
  6. Fog and freezing temperatures finally brought a little bit of winter feeling All pictures with Leica SL and 90 mm APO Summicron M
  7. Iceland in winter is amazing, looking for ice and snow patterns on the black sand at Reynisdrangar is extremely inspiring and makes enduring the cold definitely worth it. We had a great time during my Workshop there last February! Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm @ 24mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra. Thanks for viewing, best regards Vieri
  8. Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous and photographed waterfalls in Iceland, most known for being photographed from behind the water. Since I like to go to Iceland in winter, both for my Workshops and for my personal work, that is never possible: the access to the waterfall's back is closed due to the snow. This, however, opens up new creative possibilities to portray this amazing waterfall surrounded by icicles and looking like it's digging in the snow. Black & white, for me, was the obvious choice for this. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri

    Nipper

Taken in the low winter light recently using the M240 and 35mm Summarit f2.5 at 400iso. 1/330 f8. 'Nipper' is the name of the dog emblem which has been used by 'His Masters Voice' music company for decades to promote their products. I can only assume this young lady was on her way to work. Gerry

  24. This is the very first walk with my new camera. I always go the same walk just to our fort from where there is a nice and wide view over our city. Winter offers a clear view, trees are barren (which is a thing to regret) and not disturbing the view too much. We get nice dramatic skies then. Handling is uncomplicated a fine, the new look has to be discovered and explored. Leica Q
