  3. Hi, I have just bought a 50mm summilux for my M8. I have used it twice. The first time all was fine, however today I encountered 2 problems. Firstly, I noticed after attaching the lens that it wasn't mounted straight. On further inspection I had managed to twist clockwise beyond the normal stopping point so that looking down the barrel the white mark was left of where it should be. I turned it anticlockwise and it reassuringly clicked in place. Then I shot a few shots at F/1.4 which were all sharp so I breathed a sigh of relief.   4. Hi, This is my first post but was wondering if any of you had any opinions on the following:- 1. I know that using an IR filter is desirable to get correct colour but is it also desirable from a sharpness point of view i.e. does filtering out IR help sharpness by filtering out the slightly out of focus IR image? 2. It seems that dust spots are more visible on images than with my 5D. Could this be because there is a thinner layer in front of the photosites so that they are more in focus - i.e. sharper edged and higher contrast? 3.
