  4. I just received my mint Copy of this lens and found the aperture ring to be very loose, so my question is: Did they manage to get it tighter ? Thanks in advance, Harald
  5. I just updated my SL2-S to V 2.1 and found out that all of my Apo SL Lenses 35/50/90 were updated to Lens Software V 2.1
  6. I can confirm that my original M to L Adapter (18771) was very tight when first used. I even thought that it was impossible to get off the camera at the first use. After using it regularly it has settled and is now tight but at the same time smooth.
  7. There is a video covering just exactly that Even though it is in german i guess you get the idea.
  8. There is a very interesting review by Vieri Bottazzini under https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2018/05/leica-super-vario-elmar-sl-16-35mm-f-3-5-4-5-asph-in-depth-review.html The Vario Elmar 24-90, the Super Vario Elmar 16-35 is compared to the Voigtlaender Super Wide Heliar 15mm III
  9. I took delivery of a replacement hood directly from Leica. I don't think that it is any different from the one that came with the lens, have to be careful when using it i think. Probably a little piece of insulation tape on top of the the "locking" mechanism might help. Will try on the weekend.
  10. Thanks Mark. Since the lens barrel itself is made from -precisely manufactured- metal, it seems unlikely that the fix involves the lens barrel. I will ask Leica whether the current lens hoods are probably more secure. Regards Harald
  11. Hello from Germany, i took delivery of the SVE 16-35 yesterday and noticed right away the rather light force feedback when mounting/locking the lens hood. It does not matter if the hood is attached upside down or not, the force seems to be comparable. The lens was manufactured in 11 / 2019 and i wonder if there is any update from one of you regarding this issue. Apart from that Happy Easter Harald
  12. I can say that the Apo-Summicron-SL 35mm and 50mm received an update too. The version went from V1.0 to V2.0
