I do use it, and agree that you can lift the RAW images. However, if you are trying to review on the camera then this is where you can run into some difficulty as the images are dark.

I have found the answer: If the Connectivity Mode is set to performance mode then it is always possible to remotely activate the camera. Eco = 7 days and off is really off.

As above, I have found that with the Q3 power switch set to off, and on selecting connect to the camera it powers on and connects. Is this meant to happen? It seems that off is not really off.

I can confirm that both the battery and card slots are accessible on IDS Q3 grip

Interestingly, whilst the update is available for download via your link, it is not yet available via the FOTOS app.

Perhaps to complete the transformation, Leica needs to release a silver and perhaps brass coloured Q3 🙂

I'm curious, why on earth did Leica stop making the SF26? It seems the perfect size for the Q cameras.

I still think Leica are looking in the wrong place for this issue (memory card). My shutdown freeze was well after any shots had been taken, and I am running the fastest SanDisk card which was supplied by the Leica online store.

I have had the same powering off issue on several occasions. I have the SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC Card 64GB 300MB/s. I think Leica attempting to point the finger of blame at the memory card is a red herring. The power off issue in my case was well after any data transfer had been completed.

Another freeze yesterday whilst turning off the camera. Had to drop out the battery to recover. Using a SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC Card 64GB 300MB/s as recommended and supplied by the Leica Store.

So realistically, when do we expect the first firmware update post 1.1.0 ?

Today's random bug: Got stuck trying to connect to the fotos app. Failed to connect, then wouldn't exit the connection process using the button between the arrows. Then tried turning the camera off, no joy, camera remained on. Had to pop the battery off.

Bought and received. No regrets.

Yes, but I purchased the camera from Leica UK, the price included VAT. It is Leica who have chosen to ship the order from Germany [and are liable for any cross boarder tax settlement]. I now have the purchase invoice from Leica, which clearly states I have paid VAT and that import duties are to be settled [by Leica] to a DHL account. Seems that the [3rd party] distributor may have incorrectly raised the shipping paperwork, though I would have thought they ship to the UK from Europe all the time. Hopefully, I'll get a response later today.

Like you, I am expecting delivery on Tuesday from Germany. I have encountered an issue with DHL who are now chasing me for the import duty when I have already paid UK VAT. I am hoping to resolve this and are awaiting a response from the UK online store.
