  1. …..but does it include a de-haze tool yet? I was kicked off their Beta tester panel when I suggested firmly that they were making an error and losing customers to LR and ON1 by not including such a tool. They obviously did not want beta testers who disagreed with them.

  2. I was on the beta programme for a while. I gave them a pretty tough time over a number of things but they were cool. I wasn’t kicked off.

I’m personally not a great fan of Capture One. I get why people like it but its workflow isn’t so great and it seems to me they don’t follow up too well on features once they’ve got them in there. There was a number of things that were quite fundamentally bust and stayed bust through several beta cycles. And its masking really sucks.

  3. CO can usefully be paired with Affinity Photo which has a good haze removal filter. It is very easy to open edit and save CO images in AP. Some features of AP that seem to me to be a lot easier to use than those in CO include the clone, inpainting and associated brushes. I tried really hard to live with the CO catalog but in the end abandoned it. I now use CO sessions with AP as necessary and NeoFinder for cataloging.
