In addition to the new Leica CL, Leica Camera AG introduces the Leica Elmarit TL 1:2.8/18 ASPH, a wide-angle lens for the Leica APS-C system (currently with Leica TL2 / Leica CL). The image angle corresponds to a 27mm lens in 35mm format.

The very compact optic consists of 8 lenses with 4 aspherical surfaces in 6 groups. It weighs only 80g and protrudes only 21mm from the camera body.

The Leica Elmarit TL 1:2.8/18 ASPH will be available in black and silver. Price and availability are not officially announced yet.
