This year sees Leica Camera back again as an official supporter of the Montreux Jazz Festival
This year, Leica Camera AG (Solms) continues its commitment as an official supporter of the Montreux Jazz Festivals, which will be taking place from 4 to 21 July, 2013. Last year, in the role of official supporter, the company documented the appearances of international top stars of the music scene in photos shot at the world famous festival on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Visitors to this year’s Montreux Jazz Festivals can look forward to the exhibition ‘Music in Pictures’, which will be showing the work of Michael Agel from Leica Camera AG. The large-format prints from images of musicians like Michael Wollny, Alanis Morissette, Luiz Melodia or Amy McDonald were all captured in the course of last year’s festival. The pictures will be on display at the Montreux Jazz Club and the Auditorium Stravinski.
On the occasion of this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival, Leica Camera will also be offering a strictly limited special edition of the Leica X2, the compact camera ‘Made in Germany’. This exclusive, limited edition of only ten cameras features leather trim in capri blue and is engraved with the logo of the Montreux Jazz Festival. The cameras will be on sale at the Montreux Jazz Shop from 4 July.
