Again Leica will offer during this year’s photokina a Q&A session.

On Saturday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. CEO Alfred Schopf and the product managers will answer the Leica Forum’s questions.

In order to get the most out of the Leica employees, we’ll put together a list of questions.
What do you want to know? Please put your questions as precise as possible and help us to make up a good structure by adding a topic. For example:

Leica M System: What does Leica think about a modular M camera with changeable sensors?

We won’t be able to put all questions and won’t get answers to each questions but I’m pretty sure we’ll again get some exclusive information for the Leica Forum.

I’m looking forward to seeing many of you there, many good questions and interesting Leica news!

  1. Hi

Leica compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera :

will this be available with 3 strap lugs as on the Leica CL ?

This is so useful for carrying the camera under your arm, with the soft case over it, ready for taking a quick shot.

  2. Hi, Andreas,

    I have 3 questions …

    1. Is there any chance that Leica could downsize the S and build a native R mount camera based on all technology already developed for the S system?

    2. Is Leica still planning to introduce a T/S lens into the S system?

    3. Does Leica have any plan to re-establish a service facility in North America?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

    Simon

  3. To Mr Leica,
I am the owner of a Leica X1 and my question to you is, what are the thoughts about having a image saved in both RAW and JPEG ? And why can’t I take only RAW?

    Kind Regards
    Cornelis

  4. 1 As sensor development continues do Leica believe lens design will ultimately be the limiting factor to improving digital photography and if so when do they believe this will happen.
2 will lens design ‘focus’ on quality not speed as sensors improve, will we see any more sub f1.0 lenses developed by Leica.

  5. Recently, Leica announced that they will not be in a position anymore to support replacements of M8 LCD screens.
As the M8 is still used by many Leica minded photographers, this news came rather as a bad surprise.
Will Leica be prepared to openly provide the technical characteristics and know how in order that a third party company might be able to find a solution for replacing the LCD screens with alternative models?

    Thanks

  6. Hi,
Changing digital camera bodies is akin to changing films with film cameras.Given the very high costs of high end digital cameras, would Leica consider a camera body that allows for upgrading the sensor and supporting technology of a body?
    Thanks
    Bob D
