Leica Camera AG, Solms, has added a high-performance wide-angle lens to their portfolio of short focal lengths for Leica M cameras. The Leica Super-Elmar-M 21 mm f/3.4 ASPH. sets new standards of imaging performance and is characterised by its particularly compact size and its suitability for a wide range of photographic situations.   1. I have for many years used the 21mm Super Angulon M as my favourite wide angle lens.

    This new 21mm Super Elmar with a combination of high performance, compactness and through the lens metering capability promises to be a worthy successor to the classic Angulon.

    I cannot wait to try out one of these new lenses.
