I went to Cuba recently with just an MP, the 35/2 Asph and a load of Portra 160. The 35 meant I had to get in close most of the time so scuppering my chances of candids. I wasn't keen on the scanning by Peak Imaging so I converted to B+W to save the situation.

Beautiful series!!! Love the B&W conversion... I usually scan Portra film myself with the Coolscan 4000 by nikon with Vuescan, made my self a profile that comes close to reality...

I really enjoyed these lovely photos.

Again, B&W demonstrates that timeless quality - these could just as well have been taken last week or mid last century (although being i Cuba certainly helps).

In retrospect, was having one lens/one camera an advantage or disadvantage?

There were certainly many situations where I would've benefited from having a 50. I typically use 35/50, rarely wider. I had intended to go with a 28/50 combination but decided to take just one camera. 35 is my most used lens but in future I think I'll take the 50 too.
