Advertisement Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Hi k-hawinkler, Take a look here New Mexico Winter Evening Light. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted January 16, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted January 16, 2012 K-H, Â Both versions are excellent with the composition, lighting and clarity. I love the warm colors of late afternoon sunlight and the mood it creates but I also am drawn to the marvelous rich tones of the b&w version. It's a toss-up for me. Bob Jackson Posted January 16, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted January 16, 2012 Lovely photo. Karl-Heinz, I see you used a Nex-5. How is that camera working out for you? I've been interested in acquiring one. Bob
allamande Posted January 16, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted January 16, 2012 Oh, this is so gorgeous. I would definitely go with color as I love that rusty golden light, the whole mood it creates that's totally unique to your locale. Â Ece
k-hawinkler Posted January 25, 2012 Author Share #5 Â Posted January 25, 2012 Paul, Bob, Ece, Many thanks for your feedback. K-H. Â Â Bob, Â I am beginning to like the NEX-5N and should get the OLED viewfinder for it in a couple of days. Both are in stock right now. I also ordered the NEX-7 directly from Sony USA. Scheduled arrival is early April. Â I find it very interesting to make myself familiar with different camera user interfaces (UI) and functionalities. Once I have memorized camera UI and features pretty completely, I feel I can assess the camera more objectively. Â All cameras appear to have weaknesses and strengths and ought to be used accordingly. If one doesn't like what one finds, then ebay becomes your friend to unload the unwanted gear. Â Please, let's compare notes during your next visit to Santa Fe. That should be fun. See you soon. Â With best regards, Karl-Heinz.
Bob Jackson Posted January 28, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted January 28, 2012 Karl-Heinz, I'm excited by the sensor in the NEX-7. I want to learn a bit more about it, but I'm inclined to buy one unseen based upon the tech info I've read. See you soon. Bob
