  2. I think it is probably just normal behavior. Here’s how a frame is placed on the film strip if using a modern film cartridge in a Leica II: You can either roll your own film into FILCA cassettes or put a little spacer on the top of the lock on the baseplate to lift the commercial cassettes a little - or simply think of it as a charming signature of the camera.
  3. Schöne Combo. Die benutze ich in der LTM-Version an der IIIf und mit Adapter an der S5.
  4. I was watching Red Dot Forum where a question was asked about if the SL3 was overall great for everything photos and video. There was a pause and the answer was a SL3-S (if one comes out) would be possibly be better for video. Does anyone here know what they were talking about? Based off from that answer, I'm guessing there was a video improvement in performance on the SL2-S when compared to the the SL2. What kind if any video improvement is there on the SL2-S compaired to the SL2?
  5. If the camera is working ok then don’t worry about it. There are other discussions about films not perfectly aligned or sprocket holes showing on the edge of negatives. Consider it part of the “character” of an old Leica. Some take up spools can be loose or so tight you have difficulty pulling it out. The shaft the take up spool fit on will appear to have some wobble and not be tight. Frame spacing can vary between cameras and will be narrower with wide angle lenses and wider with longer focus lenses, because of the angle of light projected from the rear lens element past the metal frame immediately in front of the shutter blinds.

  8. Novoflex made a nice adapter LEM/NIK to use Nikon lenses on Leica-M. Of course no rangefinder-coupling but you can use either scale-focusing or EVF on digital M (that's what I use frequently). There are some adapters out in the bay providing rf-coupling but only for f=50mm and that has to be precise 50mm - we all know about tolerances in real focal length and their consequences for rf-coupling. I was tempted to try such thing out for M42-mount but didn't buy and stick to the EVF still.

  10. I ordered the green one above directly from Cooph yesterday. No shop seems to have it in stock or even on website. My reasoning for buying and not making a similar myself was that purchase of the material needed will be a substantial amount of money too. Leather, rope, appropriate thread and well made split-rings isn't for free, and probably I need to buy much more than I need for the strap. Some kind of report may come when it has arrived.
  11. Back to civilization and have some time to process the photos I have taken on the first two-week leg of our trip. Here is a fortunate shot that makes it look like I had great timing. I was sneaking up on this seagull to see how close I could get when I noticed it was getting antsy and was going to take off, so I quickly raised the camera, prefocused and snap.... So, while the shot was planned, it was not what I had planned. This was in the Nye Beach area of Newport, Oregon.

  14. The 75 APO-Summicron is absolutely stunning (any post 2020 version with no FLE flaws).
  15. It is the original Leica strap that came with the Q3. Works for me.
  16. Wenn man es jetzt noch lesen könnte und wüsste was drauf steht 🙈🙈
  17. Any thoughts on the Otus 85mm vs the 90 APO SL?
