Thank you and agreed because I do like a tight crop Thank you
  3. I did some testing inside and I think I agree now. When the buffer fills up and takes a surprisingly long time to catch up. I couldn’t see the little red status light outdoors, but indoors you can see what’s going on. I’m certain I popped the battery while it was writing.
  4. You will most definitely have a tough time in Yugoslavia, especially since THERE IS NO COUNTRY CALLED YUGOSLAVIA ANYMORE SINCE IT FELL APART 1991. It is very hurtful to people who live in the region to generalize the vast territory as Yugoslavia (its official successor was Serbia who has no sea at all), on par with calling New Zealand "UK colony".
  5. get a Ricoh GrIII (or GrIIIx). its great for the evenings or casual and if things go bad with the M11 its a backup which still produces good IQ. I always carry a small backup camera (Lately the Ricoh) and its so much better than an iPhone and unobstrusive. Regarding 21 MM I am not convinced about the 21Lux, once had one and sharpens, specially corners was not great. I would Prefer a 21 SEM if you want 21 mm. Q2 would also be a nice backup
  6. To get Lightroom 13.2, you have to subscribe to Creative Cloud ($9.99). The latest version is much better. You can try downloading an SL3 raw file, but I doubt that you import it to Lightroom 5.7. Here is a gallery with SL3 raw files: https://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/4112142540/leica-sl3-preview-sample-gallery/6898963578
  7. You avoided answering my question. Even though I am averse to watching YouTube videos, I try to watch every video with Peter Karbe, in German or in English 😄. I even referenced his comments in the DPR discussion that I linked to.
  8. no there aren't Amy option, but not sure I would want that option, just creates confusion if you flash does not file. I had that on the Sony , what a waist of time. But you can turn on electronic shutter and it should work, you just have electronic shutter side effects.
  9. Q2 allows setting Min Shutter Speed. See page 65 of the manual. It happened to me, too. It is always good to monitor ISO and exposure values.
  10. I'm now building up my Z-mount inventory. Being satisfied user of the Nikor Z 600mm TC VRS, I'll fill up the gap with a newly released Nikor Z 180-600mm zoom for wildlife application. I also see my Z9 good for taking portraits, so a 85mm F1.2 will be on my list and hopefully a 35mm F1.2 will be released soon sometime this year which I am keen to fill it up. My M10R with lens kit of 35mm Summilux, 90mm Summicron, WATE will be used for my international travels and landscape application.
  11. His videos arereally worth a proper and patient listen or two. Peter Karbe shares a significant amount of information in a fairly easy to understand format for those interested in these sort of things. I've had the opportunity to speak with a few current/active optical engineers on this topic previously, but I must say Peter Karbe really takes it to another level for those of us on the other side of the camera to better comprehend IMO.
  12. ahh, x1, When it came out it was a great innovation. Like a digital Rollei 35. Today the Ricoh GR3 has taken the lead IMO.
  13. how do we know how much is not there because of optics and how much is corrected? maybe the optics just show less CA than some other lenses. (I don't know)
  14. I was referring to explaining what that 100MP limit means. Do you remember differently?
  15. Woohoo! Was just contacted by Leica Store New York - they got their latest SL3 shipment in today and I've now got one on the way! Interestingly, I've been on B&H waitlist since early March, and was added to my local Leica store waitlist mid-March. I called all the other Leica stores around the US, including the NY store, to be added to their respective lists only about a week ago, so very happily surprised that the NY store already had availability. Anywho, the latest batch of SL3's have landed!
  16. I checked in Lightroom. Before returning from Nikon to Leica, I used two bodies. One with a 17-35 and the other with a 70-200. Both f2.8. My four most used focal lengths by photo numbers were 17,35,70 and 200. The hard stops of the zooms. The in between ranges were used far less. On that basis, 18 or 21 would suggest themselves over 24 and 28. There is a used 24 Lux available locally and a used WATE.
  17. Okay, vielen Dank.
  18. After 6 months of the CL, DNG in LR wins hands down over jpeg AWB. Everything done in post and the files are fantastic.
  19. The issue for me seems to be related to the fact that I mostly load threads “I have posted in and have not read” - formulating that list seems to take a couple of minutes.
  20. You wrote "I do not remember Peter Karbe explaining anything, but he just threw out a number (100MP?) to be misinterpreted at will 😜. Okay then. Never mind.
  21. That’s because New Zealand has an extreme cost of living crisis. Not many people afford food, rent or mortgage payments and a Leica due to decades of terrible policies that favour the rich and wealthy.
