I can confirm that I succesfully downgraded my MacOS to 14.3.1 (current version of MacOS is 14.4.1) and that fixes my C1P version (v16.2.6), at least for what I have used most, nit sure if there are some issues hiding in modules that I did not use yet. I hope not, and I intend to stick with this Mac OS for as long as I can. You can buy current hardware and then downgrade to Sonoma 14.3.1 or earlier before migrating all your stuff. But as said that is not a straightforward process. So if your really want to upgrade, you could buy a Mac mini, but since it is a Apple Silicon, YMMV with v16.2.6. Also, this option will not be available for long because soon (probably June 2024 WWDC) all new Mac hardware will ship with MacOS 15 and will not run to any Sonoma (Mac OS 14) version.

BlackCrowFoto started following M-246 Shooting Soft Images?
-
Does anyone else get soft-looking images from their M246? Mine seems to focus just behind my intended point of focus. I shot a Zeiss 25/2.8 at both f/2.8 and f/8, same for a Voigtlander 50/1. I then compared those to a Q3 using the lowest DNG resolution of 18MP, on AF and MF. Here are the JPG files: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBmYWe I was getting much sharper results right out of the box from my monochrome-converted Ricoh GR3 and Sony a6600. No sharpening needed. So why do my images look this way? Is this what Leica cameras normally produce? A film-like softness? These are my first Leicas, in case there was any doubt. Thanks in advance

There are websites like apkpure and apkmirror that mirror older versions of Android app installers, so it would probably be possible to get hold of an earlier version of Fotos that would be compatible with versions of Android before 10. These particular sites aren't pirate sites (they shouldn't have cracked versions of paid apps etc.) but at the same time they are not approved by Google and the security risks of using them will be higher than using the official Play store (plus the older OS will be insecure to start with). Use at your own risk.

Why Do I Have Such Difficulty with the 28mm FL?

I think this might possibly have been the thinking behind the titling screen of the Q3. Just thought! David -
