It's getting harder to find brand new M9M batteries. My old ones don't have enough amp-age on a full charge and won't run my M9M properly. I've had an order in for new batteries at the Leica Store Hong Kong for several months now but no luck. This nips sentimentality in the bud somewhat.

For those members whom have experienced monochrome lockups, has anyone continued to experience lockups after updating to the new firmware?

Thank you for asking, AndreasG. They were taken inside Marrakesh Souk. This is the biggest traditional marketplace in Marrakech, divided into sections for the various trades. You'll see herbalists, spice sellers, carpet sellers, metal workers, tanners, and food markets congregated on trade-specific streets. It is a maze of busy, twisting, narrow alleys filled with bustling traders, shops and tourists. It's mostly covered and hot and it's easy to get very lost. I spent about one hour walking around with my Leica and afterwards found a good coffee shop to sit overlooking the main square, which is where the following photo was taken from..

please don't use a hairdrier to clean your sensor! Use a rubber bulb blower available from your local camera store.

I've owned an M8.2 & an MM v.1 both of which have had to be sent back to Germany for shutter replacement so they can fail. The MM is still going strong but it's a valid question. When selling a digital-M camera I'm always asked the shutter count. With digital I shoot much more than film in a single session so I can understand why..
