  1. Don't panic guys....bought mine from the Leica Online Store..."Made in Portugal"
  2. You guys may want to try Lock-Tite...a product used on firearms to keep screws in place. Using a VERY small amount on the Q3 threads will assure the soft release will stay put. It is easily removed with a little twist pressure. Clean out the Lock-Tite residue from the Q3 threads and you are as good as new.
  3. Begs the question...why go the FOTOS route when taking the SD card path is so easy and straightforward ?
  4. I couldn't agree more, Hero...it's what you're used to. I was a LR user for years and along came C1. I (visually) thought C1 processed a better image. I was hooked on C1, learned enough to create good (enough) images and never looked back. It has evolved into a wonderful product with tons of support. And, not "...it's what I'm used to." And, that's the truth! Ha!
  5. Many thanks again, Hero...perfect work around. My profiles are performing and all indicators are showing up normally. My OCD was pushing me to the limit and you saved a fellow photog!! I also agree with everyone on turning the camera off while on the prowl for that next great wall hanger...leave it "ON" and take extra batteries. In reviewing the new FW, I just happened on to the disappearing profiles when turned off. Thanks to Hero, that condition no longer exists and I can get on with life! Ha! Now, let's see...what else can I find to overthink on this beautiful Sunday morning??
  6. Thanks so much, Hero. That could very well be a part of it. How do you...."load each profile in turn and then resave it."? You are dealing with someone who needs all the help he can get! Ha!
  7. Also, Stephen, if I select profile #1 in either the status screen or "User Profile" page, the #1 appears next to the little person on the status screen and "active" appears next to Profile #1 on the "User Profile" page. Noting that, when I turn the camera off and back on again, both the number "1" and the word "Active" disappear. The camera, however, is still functioning under the guidance of profile #1.
  8. Stephen, what I think I am seeing is...after FW update, I start up the camera and select profile #1 and the camera uses that profile. I turn the camera off and back on again and the camera continues to use the selected profile #1. So, the profile selection is retained. With that in mind, I move about the menus and see no reference to profile #1 having been selected either next to the little person in the status screen or the "User Profile" section of the menus showing that profile #1 is "active". At least I now understand that when I turn the camera off, I don't have to reselect a profile when I turn the camera back on....my prior selection is still in play. The Status screen profile reference number next to the little person is what I miss the most. That is my "go to" profile selection point routinely. BTW, all of this is WITHOUT making any modification to a profile. Am I making sense here?? Hope so! Happy New Year everyone!!
  9. My install kept the profile set as well. When you select a profile, is it retained when you move about the menu? Or, do you have to reselected that profile each time you power on the camera?
  10. Getting the same thing...doesn't retain the selected profile. Every time I turn the camera off, the "default" becomes the profile in use.
  11. And, it certainly doesn't look like a camera bag!! $13.73 Total on Amazon. Contains, Q3, charger, Small Rig table top tripod, Lume Cube and mount, Card reader for iPad, 2 extra batteries, cleaning supplies....etc. Happy New Year all!
  12. You guys are so absolute with your assertions. Everybody should take a deep breath and enjoy the discussion...with the view that everyone, to some degree, is contributing to it. This is such a great place to learn!
