  1. @hansvons Sure, both time was official Leica store, one time Hamburg one time Berlin, alleged cla‘d by Wiese Fototechnik
  2. Happy end: the dealer took the camera back and refunded the money. Tried my luck with another M4-P in even better cosmetics which then had very sloppy shutter times so off, that 1/8s was running as fast a 1/125s... Returned to the dealer as well without any discussion this time... Maybe i have a bad karma for M4-P´s...
  3. If I understand right, it wont happen when I dont advance after the shot and it sits without tension?
  4. @Huss, they stated that they wont refund me but will take care of it until 100% fixed... i hope that the next film will show the result, although the error is not easy to reproduce... lets see @all the error is always on the "Typo side" of the GOLD 200 film. Idk if its up or downside in the camera
  5. Dear forum, I bought a recently serviced M4-P from a Leica dealer and after developing the first films I unfortunately noticed that there were strange light leaks on the film. There are about 6-7 frames per film on which the incidence of light can be seen. The camera was in really good, almost new condition when it was purchased and was purchased directly from the Leica Store a few weeks ago. Does anyone have any experience of where this kind of light could come from? It seems as if the error is always on the first picture after a longer "shelf time". The camera is now under warranty with the service but I would be interested to know if anyone has ever had this type of light leak? Best regards
  7. Since I have a 0.85 viewfinder with which I am very happy with I won’t replace it. I think they will do the light seals anyway with that repair now.
  8. Thanks for your reply, so today again my battery died after 4 days. I just called customer service but they told me that service might be hard for the electronics and the repair queue is about 6 months from the day they receive the camera. @mshchem Did you already get a diagnosis from Wetzlar?
  9. Yes it started about 6 month ago after 8 years of use. I think I will need to send it to Leica to get it checked
  10. I know that of course. It just feels more than strange to me to wind the mechanism before each picture. It hasn't been like this for the last few years and I would just like to have the condition as it is intended.
  11. Yes I started to get used to put it in OFF mode but it ruins my nerves since it was never a point for the last 8 years… I want it to behave like it should. It’s really strange I just have to put a finger on the camera (not the trigger release) and the metering starts.
  12. Dear forum, since a few weeks my M6 TTL acts strange and it’s losing battery power within a few days or sometimes within hours. I normally have the shutter release cocked to take a photo quickly while on the street. I found out when I turn the dial from OFF to a certain shutter time it is metering immediately or after a slight vibration to the body. I think the shutter release is super sensitive and always read the meter with a slight vibration. Did someone experience a behavior like this and how can this be solved? I order more batteries than film right now… Happy new to all of you and best wishes M
  13. Wow Stuart never ever thought about this, but yes it makes absolute sense. I Wind till the lever blocks and then rewind with the lever half cocked. Will try to stop after frame 37 next time...
