  1. Leather messenger bags and briefcases for camera's: https://www.cravar.com/ As beautiful as they are tough
  2. Was wondering if there was any verdict on final AF performance of TL2 after update? As fast as CL? Particularly interested in performance with the 35mm lux...
  3. Any final verdict on AF performance? As good as CL? Particularly interested in performance with lux 35
  4. Hi guys, I know this is a rather premature thread as it's only been 4 years since the TL lenses came out, but just wanted to ask 'long-time' owners how their lenses are holding up? Any problems, defects etc, and for how much longer you reckon your TL lenses will last before motor and other electronic issues start to kick in.
  5. I think you're referring to the full frame line up. The APSC set is much more reasonably priced, from USD 380 - 600 on average. I have no idea in regards to the quality however, and the 23mm 1.4 is still missing...
  6. Given the fact that Sigma have already got a number of APSC sized lenses, I think we can count on a few L mount additions in the coming years. I wouldn't count on Panasonic chipping in with an APSC line of their own, however.
  7. Encouraging interview from Red Dot Forum: https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2018/09/photokina-2018-the-leica-cl-and-future-of-aps-c/ Leica have very much heard calls for more Summilux TL lenses, and here's to hoping a 23mm 1.4 (with improved AF mechanics) comes in the near future. I also loved how the interviewer pushed for an X3. Always appreciated the X series, and it was the lens of the X113 that pulled me back into Leica.
  8. Now for the silver Summicron 23mm... Though I'd prefer a silver Summilux 1.4 23mm....
  9. From a Leica shooter's perspective: The fact that the aperture ring is not only in the wrong place, but also spins in the wrong direction, p*sses me right off. And I share the same sentiments with the others - Lightroom on a small screen seems a little frivolous, especially when you can transfer the file to your phone in a few seconds and perform the same function. But those aperture and focus rings...Switching from Leica to Zeiss repeatedly would be a frustrating nightmare. Switching from the M to Q, however, is as seamless as can be. Bring on the Q2...
  10. Yes, was hoping for a 23mm 1.4 prime for APSC. Hoping Sigma can fill in the gaps...
  11. Was hoping for a few APSC L mount lens announcements but no cigar. And, after Panasonic's fantastic presentation with the help of one of the best photojournalists in the world, it's clear from their product direction they won't be chipping into the CL and TL line. If Leica (or Sigma) could release the 23mm 1.4 already plsssssssssssssss.
  12. Indeed. And inadvisable for very heavy lenses. Though fortunately that doesn't apply to the majority of rangefinder lenses, which are relatively light.
  13. It's an adapter with an in-built motor. The Adapter works with the camera's AF mechanism by physically moving the lens back and forth until focus is achieved. Results are (apparently) accurate most of the time, though speed takes a slight hit. A little bit loud too. Useful for those looking for a one handed shooting solution however, or when you need to give your eyes a rest.
  14. My hope, exactly. If we could get a good M to L mount AF adapter that;s not too bulky and reasonably fast I'm all in. SL lenses are just not suitable for me (too big and expensive - especially for electronic lenses which have a finite lifespan). And the TL/CL lens lineup are in dire need of expansion. M to L AF adapter would really help out - especially for rainy days where holding an umbrella in one hand, and manual focusing the M with the help of your face in the other hand, is not an ideal solution...
