Thanks! Two month later the lake will look like any other lake and at the end of summer probably gone as an existing lake.... The color rendering seems to be different to the SL-2 - my workflow has changed ....

Thanks for your summarise! I just wanted to show this effect to those who are expecting a perfect pic series in AFC. And as we are talking about photography - sometimes (the own) mistakes give more chance to understand ….

BTW there are "some" pics where the combo delivered

one example -> Setting: SL3 + 70-200 PANASONIC, AFC Animal detection - ELECTRONIC Shutter 15Pics/ sec and what happened? Taking a pic while zooming- and what we see is I am beginning to loose AF and some kind of distortion.

Das ist richtig.... die S-5 II macht das schon ganz gut (und Fuji XT4 sowieso). Mit der SL-2 bin ich da manchmal ziemlich an die Grenzen gekommen. Wobei ich DEUTLICH mehr im Springreiten "beheimatet" bin und da ist es selbst im AFS einfach- die Hindernisse stehen ja fest und ein einfaches Prefocussing löst zumindest über dem Hindernis alle Schärfen Probleme. Und da die Hindernisse zumindest in einem Gleichen Parcours nicht wechseln kann man auch (mit ner 2. Kamera) hervorragend (alte) manuelle Gläser fürs Spezielle Bild nehmen.... Nichts desto trotz hatte ich zunächst auf eine noch bessere Performance gehofft, es ist halt noch nicht aller Updates Abend.

Hi there ! I've tried animal detection in moving images (AFC). Those weren't quick movements (dressage equestrian sport) - okay, indoor and bad light. Nevertheless: The AF was very easily distracted (adjusted to the background...) and in series mode there was a lot of waste. That's exactly what I don't need at SPORT events. The AFC "pursuit" was significantly better and more reliable in the cross check, especially with dark (but moderately fast) subjects and moderate light (I needed ISO 2000 at f2.8 to get a time of 1/640) and towards me the AF had more trouble. I can do it in AFS or even manually (single shot), but at the moment the animal mode might want to be improved again - and for the time being I won't want to rely on it (yet). Which does NOT mean that the AF hasn't gotten better from SL-2 to SL-3.

Ich hab jetzt mal die Tier Erkennung im bewegten Bild ausprobiert (AFC). Das waren jetzt keine schnellen Bewegungen (Dressur Reitsport)- okay, Halle und schlechtes Licht. Trotzdem: Der AF hat sich sehr leicht ablenken lassen (stellte sich auf den HG ein....) und im Serien Modus war dann sehr viel Ausschuss dabei. Das ist genau das was ich bei SPORT - Veranstaltungen nicht brauche. Der AFC "Verfolgung" war im Gegentest deutlich besser und zuverlässiger, speziell bei dunklem (aber mäßig schnellem) Motiv und mäßigem Licht (ich brauchte bei f2.8 ISO 2000 um auf eine Zeit von 1/640 zu kommen) und auf mich zu mochte der AF auch nicht so gerne. Ich bekomm das schon auch im AFS oder gar mal manuell (single shot) hin, aber aktuell möchte der Tier- Modus vielleicht dann doch noch mal verbessert werden- und bis auf Weiteres werde ich mich darauf (noch) nicht verlassen wollen. Was NICHT heisst dass der AF von SL-2 auf SL-3 nicht besser geworden ist.

Moin ! Altes Ladegerät geht ( hab es einfach ausprobiert) , NICHT geht das USB Ladegerät von Nitecore (was ich persönlich sehr schade finde...) LG, Jørn
