  1. I just came here with the same problem, looking for an answer. And indeed, this worked.
  2. Another example from photolab. The fact that the apples and tangerine look old is not photolab's fault.
  3. This is better. A jpeg in highest quality.
  4. This is not a perfect example, because I had to downsample it again to jpeg2000 or the filesize would be too big. But here's a quick shot of my keyboard at 50,000 ISO on the left, followed by deepprimes done in Photolab5.2 and PureRaw2. They are both brilliant and absolutely the same. I will try to get a better example, but this gives you the right idea. Untitled-1.jpf
  5. I picked up a cheap Leica R f4.8 350mm lens and just for fun decided to try it with a 2x tele converter on my CL. That comes down to 1050mm. This is not something you want to use handheld, but with a bit of support from a branch, or a pole, or anything solid that is available, the result is pretty neat.
  6. I have the Elmarit 21 2.8, Canadian. The first one I bought had a focusing issue, so I sent it back. The second one caused horrible vignetting, so I sent it back. The third one was perfect. I had it coded as a 21mm for use on the m10. Wonderful lens. No color shifts at all. Here's a sample. The moral of the story: If you can find an Elmarit for a good price, go for it, after trying it out. The one I have is the version with the pins sticking out for the sun hood. The one I sent back with the heavy vignetting was the other version.
  7. I'll try that. I have some heavy shooting coming up later this week, so if that rhythm of once every 300 to 400 shots continues it should happen again shortly. Thanks for all your responses. I'll keep you posted.
  8. My first suspect was the card also, so I bought a new one when I first spotted the problem (this was with the first body). It happened with the new card also. Both were Lexar Premium 64gb cards. I had used the first card without problems on other cameras. The fact that it happened on both cameras makes it highly unlikely that it is a camera problem, unless ten people in this forum come forward because they recognize it. My bet is also on the cards, but the fact that one was new and both were formatted in the camera makes it all very confusing.
  9. I have worked with two different M10 bodies this year and in both cases I found some corrupt files between my photos. It is something I have never experienced from any other digital camera I worked with (including the M240, M246, Fujis, Sonys and Nikons). The local Leica store and I are trying to figure out what it is that goes wrong here. I'm attaching a sample file. This happens on average once per 300 to 400 shots. The problem is not visible on the camera monitor, because the embedded jpg image is okay. It is only when you open the DNG file that you find this incomplete image. The first time I saw this, I placed a new card in the camera, but it still happened. And now I see it happening in a second M10 camera. As far as I can tell it is not a problem with the card. It is also not caused by a hard disk problem on my Mac, because I've checked the file on several computers. It is undoubtedly something that happens in the camera. What I do know is that it is not caused by switching off the camera when it is still writing. My question is: has anyone else experienced this?
  10. Hadrian's wall. Leica monochrom 246, summicron 35. Panorama rendered in Lightroom.
  11. And another one, shot with the monochrom and a 21mm V-skopar, also 15,000 pixels wide. The scene is a place called Ankeveen.
  12. Here's an Amsterdam panorama, shot with the M240 and 35mm cron and rendered in lightroom. The original is about 15,000 pixels wide. Wallpaper size.
  13. I like to use old collapsible lenses on my monochrom and also on my Fuji X-T2. I have no idea what will happen if i retract any of them into the body of the Fuji, so I looked for ways to block them, to avoid accidents. In the end I decided to stop them from retracting by covering the tubes with leather. Since both of these (a summar and a 1950s elmar 90) have perfect glass, but showed clear traces of use on the tubes, the leather was an improvement. I think they both look great. The leather was applied using rubber cement, so I can remove it if I ever want.
  14. The Leica Oleyo was produced in 1935 as a single shot camera. It consists of a house with milk glass focusing screen and an ibson shutter. Short strips of 35mm film could be placed in separate metal containers for separate exposures. It worked with several lenses. In this case a regular 50mm elmar. The idea was that this was a cheap 'second body' to carry around. It is extremely unpractical, but a fun piece for your desktop. There is a listing on this forum somewhere that shows the three varieties that existed.
