  1. Just curious. Can I as a Leica-customer demand a new copy if I buy a factory new Leica-lens which does not live up to standards?
  2. Well. Then I'm not alone with a new Summilux-M 35 mm (2022) with the same problem. Strange that quality check/production quality is still an issue for Leica camera equipment.
  3. Can anyone share some experiences how the Summilux-M 28mm compares to the Summilux-M 35mm (2022) in terms of image quality and character? I have read reviews about the two lenses on their own, but I have not seen any side-by-side comparison of the two lenses when speaking about image quality.
  4. “happy to live with it”? After all it’s a lens for 5,800 EUR, so I think - from a buyers perspective - we should accept nothing less than perfection and not just a thing we can live with.
  5. Thanks. Do you how long “quite a long time” is?
  6. Has anyone in this forum noticed stiff and/or uneven focus on the Leica Summilux-M 35mm F1.4 ASPH. (2022)? Mine does both, but more at long focus-distances than short focus-distances.
  7. I do experience a little bit of trouble nailing the focus with my Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 wide open, and I am not willing to use the Visoflex on the M10-R since this undermines the whole feeling for me shooting with the M-series. Hence, I am thinking if the Magnifier 1.25 x can be a solution. Unfortunately, there are no Leica stores in my area who has it in store, so I can try it before buying, so I have to rely on the things I read online before ordering it and it is not returnable. I use mainly 35 and 50mm lenses, both Summilux. 1. How visible are the frame-lines for 35mm and (also for the 50mm) the light meter in the bottom when the Magnifier 1.25 x is attached? 2. Can you share some thoughts about the shooting experience with the Magnifier 1.25 x mounted on the M10-R when used with 35 and 50mm? 3. If I do understand Leica right, I have to mount the 24001 thread adapter since the diameter of the magnifier does not fit right on the M10-R eypiece. Is this correct? 3. If yes to #3. Does anyone in this forum have a photo of the magnifier fitted with the thread adapter on the M10-R or a M10? 4: If yes to #3. How is the experience with this construction? Thanks in advance for your answers
  8. I would happily share some photos, but there seems to be no way through the editor(s), so if I mange to knock a hole in LFI, I would love to share some photos. Lately there are a decent amount of Q2-photographs, so I am wondering whether this is a strategic move from Leica if there still is an amount of Q2 collecting dust in shelves around the world. Just a thought I have.
  9. I am really wondering and thinking about selection criteria for Leica Master Shots in LFI from Leica. I have many times submitted photographs, but never gotten one single photograph through the selection/editor(s). Even though my photographs have both a better narrative and technical quality than many of those in the LFI Leica Master Shots. Is the LFI gallery just a closed country club?
  10. I am about to buy the new version of the Summilux-M 35mm, and I just want to be sure the quality (and qc) is living up to Leica-standards, since I am going to use a decent amount of money on the lens. Hence I want to feel more 'sure' and safe.
  11. Thanks for your thoughts and input. Short after the 50mm Summilux did hit the market, I did read an article (I can't remember where it was) that there was dirt/grease-marks inside the new 50mm Summilux. Does anyone here know if there has been some matters/cases with the new Summilux-M 35mm with regards to this?
  12. Nothing particular. I am just putting a feeler out before letting go of a fear amount of money in case there is a new version on the stairs.
  13. It's close to a year since Leica sent the vers. 2 of the Summilux-M 35mm ASPH FLE on the market, and I have seen speculations back then wondering whether it was Leica's attempt to squeeze the last drops out of their first Summilux-M 35mm ASPH FLE. Does anyone in this forum have a qualified answer to whether there is new and remake of the Summilux-M 35mm hitting the market somewhere in near future? (I am asking because I am about to buy me a Summilux 35mm right now, but if there is a totally new coming soon, I can wait.)
