  1. I don't have a set up darkroom, so I'll most likely shoot one of the other digitals and convert. InPixio's "Capa" preset is sometimes nice.
  2. No, not really. - I love the Monochrom way more. - My M8 cuts the cake for the bit of color demanded from me and as a semi backup for the Monochrom. Any next Leica should be really high ISO capable to tempt me. I'm hoping for ISO 100K in the 5th Monochrom or such. Most M8 pictures are taken with a 50mm, so I don't benefit from a FF replacement either.
  3. I am using a 1.25x magnifier 50mm upwards and believe it helps. - Be careful with Phottix' one, while you are adjusting your tripod head vertically; it once knocked my contact lens out.
  4. He seems to love his 135mm f4 (not supported). He has trouble substituting an 21mm's FOV. He seems to like the CV/Z 21mm f4s Is the cool user of endless tourists' zoom ranges really supposed to felt marker 6 Bit codes on his heritage glass? SOOC JPEG quality isn't entirely on par with Fuji & i-phone An M3 style VF might be appreciated to nail focus but isn't provided Obviously he must have had his hands on everything else digital, but he also had his recreational film phases with M3 and compact 39mm filter lens line, so the M8 had no great appeal. Different people have different needs, so Ken R can't be the gauge for everybody. Here I don't care about the crop factor. An old beater bought as a makeshift backup and to please demands for color, hardly justifies buying a pair of oddball lenses to resemble 35+90mm FOV, I rather cope with 28 / 50 / 135mm equivalent.
  5. I wouldn't risk listing fees when I see fleabay swamped, in case I wanted money out of a deal and set my reserve accordingly. (Some sales are more about gaining space and finding homes for something you'd hate to trash.) My usual dealer has two M8s listed right now. They are more expensive than what I bought (there) but have way fewer clicks on their counters, so probably a good choice to restock with those, if you are shooting heavily. I doubt the market to ever dry up. - Where are all the cameras supposed to go? Even folks buying their first M8 now might get tired of it, need their investment for something different, or have broke heirs... The next M (240-follow up) release is due soon. - Shouldn't that one trigger a wave of upgrades and trade ins? Upon selling my own: Why should I? - I got it only 2 years ago.
  6. 50mm. My M8 is doing products in a studio, while I'm carrying the Monochrom around. - 90mm is too hard to frame and the wider ones wouldn't focus close enough.
  7. Default equipment here would be up to 3 bodies. So yes, if I'll buy an used 246 some day, I'll just add it. This seems the cheaper solution compared to trading off the old MM with a loss or spending on a 2nd one and being unable to get hold of a better camera.
  8. I bought an M8 for dipping my toes and unavoidable color work and lacked the patience to wait for the 246 release i.e. bought an pre-owned Monochrom towards the end of it's product cycle. I think the M246 would be nice to have, but I'll wait till the 3rd model is out. - Monochroms are technologically outdated at their release, so why rush things? FTR: I resisted the urge to grab a 2nd body right now after figuring out that I'll want higher ISO at least in one of them.
