Leica R 50mm F/1.4 Summilux Version 1 or 2 or Other?
andybarton replied to bherman01545's topic in Leica R System
Looks like an early version. It’s not worth anything line that kind of stupid money though. -
Very good. Must have been a very early M240 Keith.

Taking a Leica M series on a commercial flight.

But some airports have upgraded to CT scanners (not X-Ray scanners) meaning you don’t have to worry about the liquids in a freezer bag. The industry is in a state of flux so it depends upon where you are flying to and from. Check the airport website for their security procedures There is no problem taking a digital camera through scanners as there may be with film -

The forum servers don’t know whether you’re accessing via WiFi, cellular data or string between two yoghurt pots, only which browser you’re using. All it does is send out data and your device interprets and displays that. I noticed that at around 05:20 BST this morning the forum was completely unavailable, so maybe it’s been “rebooted”.

I am sure that you will need to push the rewind button to disengage the wind on mechanism, which is what you'd have to do if you were using the rewind crank in any case. Sliding the button on the winder will, most likely, just reverse the gears so that the film winds back instead of forwards. You can try it without any film in the camera, of course.
