Equally important is the connector rings, I forgot what they are call. Need to make sure they are high quality otherwise the strap can work its way out of the ring.
-
At least they kept the price the same. Only good thing.

I gave the image a like. Photographer and lens succeeded.

For sure. DAG is great. I actually wiped the excess lubricant off and focused it a bunch of times over the past couple of days (off camera) and no more excess lube. I may have overreacted. It may have been caused by shipping and initially having too much lubricant. It appears ok but I’m going to keep a close eye on it. I bought it from one of my go to dealers and can get a full refund if needed. He also offered to cover DAG or Leicas cost if it ends up being needed.

I haven’t tried Voigtlander lenses yet. I hate the physical look of the lenses. I know that’s completely stupid but I can’t help it. I’ll check the lineup out in case they improved the aesthetics. Don’t think I’ve seen the 28 1.5.

Thanks. Really appreciate the detail and examples. Very helpful.

Thanks for getting back to me. can the lubricant in the helicoil / focus mechanism get into the blades? the sensor issue is a true concern for me. i can return. That is no big deal.

Hey all, took the plunge and re-purchased the 28 Lux for the 5th time. (A story for another day). I typically inspect all gear closely, even when purchasing new. When looking at the rear of the lens, there is excessive librication in the focus mechanism. I turn the focus and more lubricant presents. I wipe, move focus a full cycle, more lubricant. Haven’t seen this and have owned a silly amount of Leica lenses. Is there anything I should be concerned with Long term? Somewhat concerned with it dripping on the sensor but will keep cleaning it off unless this is a bad idea im going to move the focus a bunch and clean as much off as I can but is there a bigger looming issue? Somewhat silly question but tapping into the vast L-Forum knowledge!

Leica in 2024 and 2025: What’s next from Wetzlar
dkmoore replied to Herr Barnack's topic in Leica M11
Used market is very slow right now in general. (I buy and sell a ton of Leica gear). To sell a camera like the M10D or M10R black paint, for premium pricing and old generation, you need to find the exact right buyer, which slows things a bit. I highly encourage you to check out the Leica classifieds on Facebook. It’s safe and a good community. No fees. I’ve listed a few items on l-camera classifieds over the years and there was zero traffic. I believe that is very typical of the L-camera classifieds and wouldn’t recommend usage personally. -
$450m revenue in 2022 for Leica Camera. I guess it boils down to definitions.
-
This has no determining factor of a product being labeled as discontinued. If a camera far out sold original projections, they would make more. Leica isn’t that small of a company anymore.
-
Well, not reasonable if M11s still have freeze issues and leica doesn’t replace like they did the M9 M sensor. To add, the m9m resolution was way late. Leica should make this right. But, I am not sure they will.
-
Super easy to get. Check leicas own website. They have them available now. BH has them as well. If you aren’t in the US I’m sure others have them.
-
Well, I’d wager there are quite a few members that may be “men” “rich” and on a “board.” That said, I should proof before I post. My assistant was off, who usually does that for me.

Thank you, Brent. Appreciate you having my back! 😎
