  1. Am I crazier? I bought M9 Titan in Feb 2023 and just bought M9P almost brand new last month. I owned several M bodies including M10R and this M9 the one that I always bring 😉
  2. Put into consideration that if the corrosion gets bigger and unrepairable it’ll become useless ‘memoir’ brick. Best way to send it in and see what they can do. Apart from that, with some if not many unrepairable corroded M9, I’m very confident that Leica M9 survivor will be more highly appreciated in the future.
  3. You still can use some of them with different cameras, not that bad, I bought like 2 bags a year, at least 1 camera a year, now I need to buy a new dry cabinet 😁..It’s part of our hobby
  4. Hello Mauricio, Interesting, so maybe we were wrong, there are more civilian ver other than recorded..
  5. Now I’m lucky enough to own the one of the last 5 KE-7A.. , but I’m curious, should the seal at the 5th screw is C seal or L seal?
  6. Is there anyone know what is the serial number for the last Leica KE-7A both civilian and military version? Edited : I found it, 1293771 - 1293775 and 1294501 - 1295000 so I assume the first one 1293771 until 1294955 are military version. Serial No : 1294956 - 1295000 are civilian version. Please CMIIW!
  7. True Jaap, I was offered an replacement from my local dealer when my M10 had a missing frameline back then after a month of use.. I think that was my only issue with my Leica equipments so far. I never doubt their service even another brand like Canon, I greatly appreciate their service to customer..
  8. Lol, that’s exactly what happened in most of us..I think I know where Bud James going in next 2-3 years..he will think to buy another Leica body in 6-12 months, if not an SL maybe a Q, or M Monochrom lol...then when he become more passionate about Leica, his Leica buds introduce him to Leica film camera, from there he will think to reduce some of his lenses, try to find a film body then starting to collect vintage lenses..always buying lots of bags that suit his carrying and so on...... That’s a Leica life, once you attached to it, you will take it to your grave..it’s an investment, it’s an art, it’s a masterpiece, it’s a tool, It’s a Leica..it will change your life..
  9. It’s has a bit bigger barrel than 35 8 element, maybe it’s 35mm lux stell rim?
  10. 5 minutes in my M10, battery did not full, about 55%, when update finish still have 45% remaining
  11. I think I should update on this issue. So once I was back from my vacation, I returned the camera to my dealer, spent the night only to get a phone call from my dealer early in the morning said that the camera was normal, what the heck..., I drove it there and checking that was indeed back to normal. The guy only tried to mount his 35cron and the frameline is came back, I tried to mount my 35lux then 50cron back and forth, it has no issue at all. So I don’t know what was the cause of the frameline went missing. I hope it didn’t happen again in the future.
  12. Yes, I still can use the liveview for framing too
  13. My biggest concern now is my thought about the camera that will be send to Germany, I’m worried about the handling and such that might cause something bad to the camera cosmetically or internally in the future. Wish they could tell me it easily done between 2-3 days, I’ll take the camera myself to Japan, the guy at Camera Clinic told me that Germany, Japan and USA have the tool to do the opening.
  14. No, my lever is perfect, it moves freely as it should, that’s why I think it should be look by Leica service instead I took action on my own. My first silver M10 is a bit sticky though but no problem whatsoever.
  15. Actually this is my second M10, my first one worked flawlessly, I just traded because of the color, I prefer black ;(Well, at least it’s not a big issue, I still can use 28mm and 50mm on the camera while on vacation. Thanks for the help!
