    You are not alone having the issue with the Q-116. I have fallen in and out with it and cleaned it up to sell more than once (and then I say- let me give it one more chance) What I have been doing is to a/shoot in raw (I assume you do as well based on your gear) b/ set the crop to 35mm (or in your case 50mm)-- the crop will only show in the viewfinder- the actual image will be in 28mm. As I understand it- that may not be true with Q2/Q3 using LR. This has been working for me. YMMV

    I have the original Q as well--I have 4 - 24" x 36" metal prints hanging on my walls (both at home and at my weekend place). You should have no issue w/your Q2

    I have read alot about people worried about dirt getting in the camera. I have only seen a few (2-3) threads about it happening. I have had my Q -116 since launch and used it extensively in a variety of environments- and to date encountered no issues
