  1. I also use the natural setting as the images look just that....natural!
  2. Easy decision to make; just ask yourself which do you take with you most of the time? No camera means lost photo opportunities, but be honest with yourself. If you prefer a printed photograph the D109 wins every time. The iPhone is best for emailing friends etc.
  3. AP are no better or worse at reviewing cameras as any other professional reviewer. I like reviews where the reviewer has used the camera in a number of different scenarios and weather conditions and can provide a warts and all summary. I definitely shun reviews where there is an established interest to the manufacturer, distributor or dealer. AP and other publications should not be affected by any of these, but of course manufacturers and distributors spend a lot of cash on advertising.......just saying, nothing implied.
  4. The spec. looks good to me and I like the 1"sensor using it with both my FZ1000 and Sony RX10iv. On the subject of LR and PS6 for processing RAW images I am unable to process later RAW camera images with my early edition of PS6 so I assume the same would apply to LR if downloaded some time ago. My understanding is that Photoshop stopped updating their software on downloaded editions at least a year ago as they now only update their hired cloud photo software. I suppose that this is part of their protection against fraudulent copies that have circulated for years.
  5. 1. Yes, I always format both new cards and when re-using a card after backing up before shooting. 2. I usually use the Grid as Ir assists composure
  6. This is a great photograph, simple, clear and fits the title. Wonderful and well seen. Please post more like this!
  7. This is quite correct, the Elpro or original Leica close-up lens is both heavier and far more expensive than the UV or skylight filter. I used the Leica add-on close up lens quite extensively when I used the LC1 as it produced wonderfully sharp macro images.
  8. Have you tried taking out the battery, leave for a while before re-inserting it? If not does your menu a re-set option as that would probably fix it? Only problem with that option is that all of your settings are likely to be reset also!
  9. I quite agree. It is the Cheese Grater not the Shard.
  10. I always understood that the image showing on the camera's screen or viewfinder is in fact the jpeg and NOT the RAW image. It would explain why you are unable to see it on your computer screen if you only open the RAW file. If you shoot jpeg and raw you should see your in-camera effects in the jpeg image but not the RAW image. In fact most cameras' work this way and it makes no difference whether you use a Mac or PC computer.
  11. I agree with mikemgb as I have squeezed my LX100 into a tight case myself and the camera is just fine. I now pop off the front section of the case ensuring that the rear cover is the right way around as the lens barrel is off centre and then just pop the front cover on afterwards. I often just use the rear cover as a half case in dry good weather. Enjoy your 109 they are really useful little cameras. Cheers, Dave
  12. I would echo the previous two posts. It is a very flexible little camera that is easy to carry around so therefore is the camera I reach for first when I go out and with exceptional image quality. Neither the focusing or exposure has ever let me down and I have been shooting with this camera since it was first introduced in the UK. I recommend you have a word with your nearest Leica dealer.
  13. Great images from a very under rated camera in my opinion, but the image is made by the brain behind the viewfinder! Superb.
  14. Boxing Day Vintage Car meet at Romsey Hampshire, UK. Le Mans 1955 era Jaguar D type Another sold in California last year for 27 million GBP. These priceless cars were strewn around the car parks and verges of Romsey for all to see and admire. A really great sight for "petrol heads" (like me!) Happy New Year to all the LUF Dave
