  1. Usual rules apply when in Italy. 1. If you stand out you are fair game 2. When having refrescas al fresco don’t leave camera on edge of table. The physical difference between a Q and a Ricoh are not wide enough to not take the Q and miss loads of great shots with the Ricoh. Sling the Q and keep it under your armpit when wandering, whip it out (the camera) and shoot. I’ve never had a problem in Italy (apart from the dodgy toll gates) so don’t compromise quality because of fear. Oh and take out insurance 😂
  2. Even in the face of the Q2, the Q is still a winner.
  3. Now that second shot is a cracker!!!!
  4. Run B+W first then the colour. Easy choice........colour.

Perfect evolution of the M cameras I think. 1. Thinner - If you use an M6 or M7 you know how good they feel in the hand. Weight is irrelevant and 3.8mm makes a big difference. 2. Sensor - If it can deal with colours anywhere near as good as the M9 then that's a big step forward. 3. Buffer - Yup all good too. Anything to speed up the flow and stop the black screen and blinking red light. 4. Rangefinder - Bigger and brighter is better without a doubt. 5. No video - Perfect. In my mind, this is an evolution in the right direction. Retro, true to brand and focused on the user experience and not spec / feature chasing. Just my two cents worth.
  7. I feel for you. I came very close to this with a leaky bottle of whiskey in the back of the car. I now have an A&A bag that smells sweetly of a bottle of Bowmore.
  8. I think I'll give that a go. Must be easier than the faffing I have to go about with in LR.
  9. I have the nylon version of this one for my Q. It's brilliant. The adjustable slider strap was a big selling point for me. Big enough for the Q and accessories, flash etc...... Artisan & Artist RR4-05C
  10. Thanks. The third one is done using Lightroom and multiple grad filters.

  12. Probably not... +1m serial number therefore single stroke in excellent condition appear to be the benchmark. Very early serials and late do the best.
  13. Okaaaayyy....so basically it's a Fuji. Same lens, some software and mode tweaks, slightly different body and the omission of a 'selfie' mirror. I say go for it! Put a Leica into the hands of the hip, cool and relatively poor and get more film out there. Good move Leica!
